Wedding Invites

For all you girls who had their invites made instead of making them yourselves, where did you get your invites?

I thought about ordering them from magnet street but it's kinda hard to find my color online and I'm not sure about the quality. I want a good stationer (I guess that's what it's called...) who is willing to sit down with me and work with my budget. Any suggestions?

We're stuck deciding between DIY and ordering right now.  IF we order, we're going to use Signatures in the Galleria in Mt. Lebo.  They do some printing in the shop, but I think they're mostly a "middle man" with the invite companies and they just order the invites for you.

I actually saw invites at Signatures that I also saw on the DB site and they were CHEAPER through Signatures than DB.  I figured after I found DB coupon codes, the DB site would be cheaper... but nope!

They definitely have a HUGE selection for any budget.  The "wedding consultant" Susie helped us find something in our price range.

Great suggestion! I will definitely check them out. Sometimes I think that invites online are more expensive for what you actually get...

Don't even get me started on invites.  I know I don't have to send them out for another month or two, but mine haven't even been designed yet.  My Mom wants to do them for me, but she's very busy, but I feel like I offend her when I suggest that maybe we should get them done through somebody.

Since invites have me stressed, I have been looking at them a LOT on etsy.  I don't know what your budget is and some are ridiculously expensive, but some are pretty reasonable.  My favorite is this one (clicky) and that shop has invites starting at $2.75.

I'm glad I'm not the only one stressing about invites at this time in the planning (I see we are close on the tickers). I was originally going to design and print myself, but I'm strarting to have second thoughts!

We picked ours from Michaels (after a lot of shopping online) and then had a local place print them.

This past weekend, we bought a laser printer (FI wanted one for a while) to do our programs. After seeing the quality, I wish we bought the printer BEFORE to do all the printing ourselves. The printing at the local shop added up and I had a horrible customer experience with them.

Our kit didn't come with everything that I wanted so we designed our own STD's and then made the parking info, direction card, and program all coordinate. Luckly FI is a wiz at PhotoShop so this def helped. We got all that printed at overnightprints.com (reasonable prices).

    Good luck!

We designed ours and then had the print shop at cards and pockets print them.  They were reasonable, great quality (heavy cardstock) and the service was absolutely amazing!!!!

I have to say that I am really amazed by all the people who designed their own. I don't even know where to begin to design my own. I'm an accountant. Lol... Not much creativity in me.

I got mine on Etsy as well.  The seller was excellent, very responsive, and printed/shipped super fast.  I was impressed.  Of course, invites weren't the most important thing to me so I didn't want to spend a lot.  Mine were through this seller.

Mine are also from Michael's.  A friend of my aunt/uncle had an invite that I loved so when we found out where, we were able to find the same style to fit my colors.  Fortunately the same aunt/uncle are taking care of the invitations for me - designing wording, printing, etc., but they will be changing a few things to add more of a personal touch.  GL!

I also got mine from Etsy. I really recommend looking on there bc there are so many options, for every price point.

I wanted a pocketfold style & fell in love with this sellers products as soon as I saw them. The seller was really easy to work with & I ended up having her do my table numbers, programs, menu cards, etc. all to match our invites.  If you want her name, feel free to PM me.

I ended up designing my own invitations because I couldn't find anything I wanted online or it was way too expensive. It saved us a ton of money and we only used two ink cartridges for the printer and bulk cardstock from JoAnn's.

If you're even remotely crafty, you can always look into buying an image file off Etsy and printing your own? Cardstock is relatively inexpensive and the design work is completely finished for you.
