Outdoor wedding venues in NY, MA, VT area?

My fiance and I want to do a country-vintagey carnival theme wedding.  We are looking for something that is within a 2.5 hours drive of new york's capital region.  We'd particularly love a place that has accomodations but isn't necessary if close enough.  Barns seem to be great but are hard to find.  We're looking for something more rustic and kind of whimsical and less elegant.  Anyone have any ideas? :)  Thanks!

    Check out Santarella ( http://www.santarella.us/home.htm ).  It's about an hour or so from Albany.

    FI loved the place, but it was just too small for our needs.  Seating inside is 80 capacity (100 standing) and there was no way we could cut our list down that much.  Its really unique looking and definitely whimsical.

    Scott Farm in Dummerston Vermont- Landmark Trust.  You can get married outdoors in the orchard.  They have an apple packing building that they've renovated for an indoor reception space and there are numerous lodging options on the property and within just a few miles.  It's five minutes from I91 exit 3 in Brattleboro- a straight shot across southern VT on Route 9.  My daughter's getting married there in two weeks- and we couldn't be happier with how it has all come together.  Perfect spot for country-vintage decore.
