Minneapolis Farmers Market DIY centerpieces

I'm thinking about doing centerpiece bouqets for the tables at the reception using flowers from the Minneapolis farmers market. They have great bouqets there and I was wondering if anyone has any photos of centerpieces they have done using flowers from Minneapolis Farmers Market.

Thanks!

These aren't the greatest photos, but they're from my MOH's sister's wedding last September that I stole from MOH's Facebook. I'm pretty sure all of her flowers came from the farmer's market. HTH!

I've actually found the St. Paul Farmer's Market flowers to be of better quality.  My flowers from there always last well over a week while the MLPS ones only last a day or two before wilting.

My reception was at Summit Manor and included in the rental are centerpieces for all the guest tables.  They go down to the St. Paul Farmer's Market the morning of the wedding and get flowers and put them on all of the tables.  I was really happy with how they turned out and they lasted all night.

We thought we'd make centerpieces with flowers from the farmer's market so the wkd of our wedding 1 year out we went to the farmers market and got flowers and did mock-ups.  After doing that I realized I did not want to be doing that the day before our wedding because I didn't know what the flowers would turn out like and I've very glad we didn't end up doing that.  Many ppl do it and their flowers are nice, but I am a person that wants to know it's going to be done and be done right so it wasn't the way for us.

</div><div>After considering how much work it would be, we opted to get a florist. I am surprised and very happy to say that our florist wasn't much more than flowers market flowers would be. It's about $600 for everything we want (and we're getting a lot).</div>

I made my bouquets with flowers from the St Paul Farmers Market, and I was thrilled with how they turned out and with the price (we spent $100 total for 14 bouquets).

However, I don't have any talent for flower arranging, so there is no way I would have tried to do my own centerpieces.

What month are you getting married?

I don't have any photos on my comp of the DIY centerpieces, but we did half of our centerpieces with branches and the other half was Farmers Marke flowers. My SIL grabbed us some flowers the day of he wedding and it worked out great! The wedding was in St. Paul, but she and my brother live in Minneapolis so I am not sure which they were from but I was very satisfied!
