Have you used Bio Oil?

So I'm getting married in Spetember, and I've started eating better adn exercising in the hopes to lose 40 pounds...I also want to look good in my new bikini this summer too :) Anyways, I had a baby in November and this is my second child. I didn't get a whole lot of stretch marks, but the majority of them are on my thighs and hips. I've been using bio oil and was wondering if anyone has ever used it and how long it took before you saw results? Would you reccommend it to anyone? Like I said, my stretch marks aren't really bad, but I'm dark complected and they just look weird and I know they won't completely go away, but hoping they'll fade away more. And I thought I'd also add that I'e lost 5 pounds in the last 3 weeks so hopefully it will all go this smoothly!

I used Bio Oil on a burn scar...I would reccomend it! I started to use it as soon as the burn cleared up so the scar was fresh, not sure how it would work on older scars. It took a little while before I saw results...I used Mederma on a different scar and I would reccomend Bio Oil over Mederma.
  • Thanks!

  • Bio Oil is mainly petroleum based, so would give you the same benefits as vaseline or any other mineral oil base. It works because it keeps the skin hydrated, so basically a very expensive moisturiser. That's not to say it doesn't work it does! You could try rose hip oil instead, or my fave is jojoba oil, which is almost identical to your skins natural oil, may not work any faster, but much nicer on your skin, cheaper, and you can use it for HEAPS of other things!
  • Thanks! I might try the jojoba oil :)
