Graceland Chapel

Ok...so my FI is fixated on the idea of an Elvis wedding.  Ok, I can do that.  But we are getting married at the Graceland Chapel and I am wondering is there a certain impersonator we should ask for?  Or can we not really request one over the other and it's just the luck of the draw?

Re: Graceland Chapel

  • We are getting married there too and have requested Brendan Paul. If you watch videos on youtube he's usually the one doing them at Graceland, he's actually the owner. Make a note on your reservation that you want him and while they can't guarantee it, he does try to do as many there as he can. Hope that helps!
  • We requested Brendan Paul and he was great.  :)  They'll try to honor requests as best as they can.
  • Random side question for either of you - I know you are supposed to tip the minister $60.  Did you/are you tipping elvis?  If so how much.... THanks

We didn't tip our Elvis (Brendan PaulI) but it seems like he owns the place..?  Also, the ceremony packages with Elvis are quite a bit more than the regular package so I figure the cost of Elvis is already very much added in.  :D

I think the reason they have you tip the minister is because they're hired from outside (they don't work at the chapel exclusively) and are summoned based on availability from a pool of ministers the chapel likes to go with.

Ugh but our chapel photos are so bad on angle/color/lighting. Definiely would recommend buying the digital prints over regular prints.  Photoshop to the rescue, seriously.

Thank you so much!  I didn't want to be rude if Elvis is expected to be tipped... You know?  And I wasn't sure :)

And did you end up buying the prints?  How many did you get?  Did they just email you the images?
