2 best men??!?

My fiance has befriended 2 great guys. One we have already formerly asked to be the best man... but we havent had close contact with him over the last couple of weeks. Another friend of ours kinda of stepped up where the other left off, and would love to be a best man. and has hinted to wanting to be a best man also.. What it be to far off to have 2 best man (en)??

    You have over a year until your wedding.   You should hold off on any more wedding party decisions for at least 6 more months.

    A whole 2 weeks have gone by without contact!  Don't have 2 best men, kick the first to the curb before he really falls behind on his duties.

    YOUR HUSBAND can have whomever he wants.  Like pp said, wait to make any decisions.  And I have to wonder, where the other one left off for the second to step up to.

    Sorry, but I know in a lot of states a wedding isn't valid if you have more than one Best Man or Maid of Honor. You have to pick who you like best or you can't get married.

    Are you above a reality-style competition to determine which one is more worthy?  Because that's the route I would take.

    It's fine to have two best men.  I was just the maid of honor in a wedding that had two best men and it worked out just fine.  They both escorted me.  My sister had two maids of honor, and I'm having two maids of honor as well.  It's really no big deal, and totally up to you and your fiance!
