invite DIY sucess!

Pardon the smudge on the monogram on the from of the pockt, and I'm still experiementing with how to print without getting the font cut off, but we are sending them out to be printed. Not bad I think for someone who's never used adobe illistrator ever.

Any changes you girls think we should make? Wording ok?

how/where are you getting them printed? i'm considering designing my own but i'm not sure where is cheapest (kinko's vs. staples or office max). i also don't know which is better quality.

they look great! how long did that take you?

  • They look great! I love the chandelier down the side! :o) Can you try moving over the top three lines in order to create more space for the font? I'd move it slightly to the left. You could also stagger those three lines as well.
  • I would align the writing to the left, I think it would give it a cleaner look and not cut off your font.  Other than that those are GORGEOUS!  I would have said those are professional ;)

They look awesome!  I would also love to know where you are getting them printed in terms of price and quality!
  • I printed that sample at home, I was impressed with how well they came out and how they didn't smudge.  I stil haven't figured out how the bleed marks work so I'm just gonna drop them off at the printer and then they have to do it.

I'm having them printed at a local print shop, I used them for a gf's baby shower invites, and I had 25 printed and it was $7. So I need 80 printed and I'm guessing it will be about $30.

They took about 5 minutes to assemble if you count paper cutting and printing. Designing the invite took 4+ hours.

What do you mean by this as both text boxes are aligned to the left? And thank you, professional was the look we were going for!
