Re: Weigh in Wednesday

  • edited December 2011
I've lost 8 lbs in a month.  I'm really proud of myself.  I've been working out 4-5 days a week and I'm noticing improvements in how I look and feel.

The hardest part for me is this time of the week when I'm tired and I don't want to work out.  Thursday and Friday are always the hardest for me...I'm hoping to break that rut and go to the gym in the morning both tomorrow and Friday.  I was going to get up this morning and go but I slept like crap and just couldn't do it.

Congrats on the 8lbs! Glad I didn't find them this time. I've lost 3.

For the past 3 or 4 (lost track) weeks, I've gotten out of bed and did a complete workout before work. It feels great.

    Congrats Rene and Mariah!

As of Sunday -- I am down 15 mother effing pounds since December 17th, when I started all this jazz.  This morning I couldn't help hopping on the scale again, and it's continuing to tick its way down.  I can tell such a difference in how I look and feel, and I can't wait to keep going.  only 25 to go before I hit "Goal A."

I just have to say I'm SO proud of the girls on this board.  I think this is the first time I've really seen a lot of consistency, and I don't think it's a coincidence that we're all helping to keep each other accountable!

I sucked this last week and haven't worked out in a week. Although I did improve my eating so I haven't been gaining weight. FI and I were going to go running this morning before he went to work but he got called into work a little earlier so we pushed it back til he gets off. I hope its not raining by then.

Great job to the rest of yall who were able to do anything!

As of yesterday morning, I have officially lost 20 pounds since the beginning of September. I didn't lose any in November, and during/just after Christmas I gained and lost 6 pounds. So that means I really lost those 20 pounds in about four months. Which for me, is really fantastic. I've always had a difficult time losing weight, and I have worked very hard for those 20 pounds. I'm hoping to lose another 10 before our engagement pictures in late March, but we'll see how it goes. I've developed some really good habits while I've been in Nashville, hopefully I can keep it up when I return to Dallas in a few weeks.

I'm doing well, really.   I felt lazy on Monday night and didn't make it to the gym, but I did the 30 day shred.  Yesterday and today I will be running.

I've been hovering at the same weight for a few weeks trying to break into a new 2nd # on the scale, and finally did it this morning!  Finally making progress for all this hard work.

Congrats everyone, you guys are doing fantastic!!!!

Tiffany, I find that, rather than losing weight steadily, I usually stay the same for a couple of weeks and then have a big drop over a couple days. Just keep doing what you're doing, and it will show up!

Also, I have not been at this weight in two years. I have just about conquered the weight I gained in graduate school!

And of course, congratulations to everyone else! It's encouraging to see other people succeed.

That is so great for all you!  I have been ok.  Worked out 3 times last week which was a start but my eating habits were still pretty bad.  So Monday I started eating better and but haven't worked out this week.  I'll get there sooner or later, lol.

    Congrats to everyone!
Last week wasn't very good since I was out of town, working and eating out :(

This week I'm back on track, went to the gym on Monday and today and feeling better about myself.  I'm hoping to keep this up and lose some real numbers before the engagement pictures which we're shooting for late April or May.

Hopefully you mind me chiming in on this thread..

I'm still trying to lose another 7 or so pounds by our wedding date on April 24.  I have my final dress fitting with Becky on February 15, and am hoping that it fits the way it did last time I was there (which was before I gained 4lbs over Christmas).

I tend to fall of the wagon on the weekends (for instance-ate queso last friday night and yummy Little Debbie treats all weekend).  But I have made a concerted effort to eat better on Saturdays and Sundays (most of the time).  I figure if I don't give myself a "cheat day" once in awhile, either my head will explode or I'll really fall off the wagon at some point and gain these 30lbs back.

    Good luck to us all!

    Congrats, everyone!

I've been pretty good this week.  I'm trying to do 30 day shred every day rather than a few times a week, so I've been pairing that with running and spin class.  I've trimmed a few ounces, but at least it's progress!

The goal is just to get down to my college senior spring weight by May when I will likely have to order my bridesmaid dress for a friend's wedding - and theoretically I could do it.  If/when I drop another 5 pounds, I get $200 to spend however I want (out of our joint account - a bet with DH that he has given up on, so I intend to claim the prize).  I think I will finally buy a bicycle to enjoy over spring/summer.

Alana, I've been doing 30 day shred, too!  Though, I do it every other day since I'm doing tae bo, running, and yoga on alternating days.  It's a great workout.  I love it. I'm thinking about buying Jillian's No Trouble Zones since I've heard good reviews about it. I <3 Jillian Michaels.  A lot.

This is the first week that I've worked out and I am so sore but, I love it! I  have been bringing healthy stuff to snack on at work, that was my biggest problem since there is a 7-11 in my building and I have a weakness for hot lays and chocolate.
Tonight I work on shoulder and arms, I hope its not to hard!

Mariah, I have the No Trouble Zones video and its really good!

I've been doing good and have continued to stick with the P90x food diet. I have started to focus more on weights so that I can get the tone look.
