um. i accidentally clicked on my planning bio, and it tells me i've been married for 344 days. which means my one year anniv is coming up in 12 days. any ideas on non-cheesy gifts?

i've already done the nekky pics, so i can't do it again..esp with the post wedding weight gain

as for the massage...that'd be fantastic----for me. h is uber ticklish and doesn't really like massages..he's done one before (the day after we got married), but that was his one-and-only time, and he says it's not worth it to do again.

i was looking at doing a large stretched canvas photo of our wedding..and i know he'd love it...but it's really 99% for me, since i would love it so much more...

boys are hard to buy gifts for. can't i just buy him a video game? hahaha.

i kind of want to do the traditional thing since i really like tradtions....but i was reading about it, and it's SO liberal that it hardly counts...e.g. a calendar is paper, so you can get him a palm pilot...it's where i got the original idea of doing a photo canvas.

i'll take ideas for both

yes, h is definitely a weirdo. but i married him, so i think that makes me a weirdo by association.

and he doesn't like spending money on concerts...unless it's michelle branch...

seeee...he's difficult. his favorite stores are lowes and home depot. his dream come true would probably be if i bought him a bag of "weed and feed" for the lawn....then he'd analyze if i paid correctly per oz of the stuff.

he's a DIY guy..as in buidling and fixing..he enjoys photography, but never actually does it, he plays too many video games, but only one game.. he doesn't drink beer.....

Or get him a book on how to build your own treehouse or backyard cottage thing? That's paper and sort of incorporates his DIY thing?

Traditional 1st is paper, modern version is a clock. Does he wear watches?

Too bad your home is all shiney and new with nothing wrong! Otherwise, I'd recommend a great DIY magazine subscription to The Family Handyman. It's paper, and it actually has all sort of awesome tips and suggestions and projects from building a deck to painting rooms better to how to troubleshoot what's wrong with appliances.

nope, H is not a sports fan---if somebody asks, he'll go to a sounders game, but only if it's a great deal on the tickets.

i got him a mag subscription to seattle met for vday....should've saved that for this i guess

clock-- chinese tradition you can't give anybody a clock/watch as a gift, because it signals "your time is up"

michelle branch-- everybody knows he's still obsessed, it's no secret! he's still on the fan club emails, downloads EVERYTHING that ever has to do with her..i.e. any short clip of a tv appearance, we still have a "michelle branch clock" he made when he was in HS.... i'm second to her. but then again, h is second to apolo ohno, so it's a mutual agreement.

re:asian girls--that is very true. i don't think i know very many "clean" asian girls, but i think we still boast that image, right?
