Need help

We are having our reception out of the city that we and the majority of our guests live outside of. We are planning on renting a room at a nearby hotel for the night and I plan on seeing if I can reserve a block of rooms at a discounted price for other guests. What I'm trying to figure out now is if some guests do decide to get a room a) how will they get from hotel to reception or vise versa and b) how would I work it into my invites?

You can include an info card (I don't know the correct term) about what hotel you've reserved a block at and putting any necessary info on it, like if they need to mention a code to get the rate and stuff.

As far as your guests getting to the hotel from the reception, I'd guess they could drive themselves- unless they're flying in and don't rent a car. Sometimes hotels will provide a shuttle if you make prior arrangements.

Sometimes hotels have free shuttles for your guests if you book a certain amount of rooms, you should look into it.
