HAPPY FRIDAY!

For thoes of us getting married in July... THAT IS NEXT MONTH!!!
Wahoo!!

Any fun plans going on this weekend?
I am going with 2 of my bridesmaids today to Pike Place market to look at their flower selection and have lunch, then checking out a new farmers market close by us (Everett area).
In just a bit I am leaving to meet a friend of mine getting married on Thursday to help her FIND decorations to buy/make for her wedding... I am too OCD to wait that long, but to each her own.

Have a great week ladies!!

  • Good morning!  I'm trying my best to beat this cold I currently have.  My "short cut" to getting healthy faster is to only eat and drink things that are hot in the very warm sense and/or hot in the very spicy sense.  So far it's working, and I feel lots better than I did yesterday :)

There is a bachelorette party tomorrow for a friend, so I hope my hot/hot cure continues to work, and I'll actually be able to enjoy myself!

  • I hope you feel better soon mgoss! Ill have to try your "short cut" next time FI gets sick, he has a cold all the time!!

Question about your friend's bachelorette party. I went to one last weekend, and that bride made a comment to me that she wasn't sure she'd make it to mine next month since then she'd be married, and married ladies don't go out for those... It is the BRIDE'S last night out, not the friends, and they are going to support her and have fun. I just thought that comment was weird, I've never heard that before.

Ashley:  Your friend is crazy.  The only time I would think that I wouldn't go to a good friend's bachelorette party would be if I just had a baby or was super sick (I'm not letting this cold stop me this week, but I did miss one friend's bachelorette a few years ago because I had pneumonia).

I can understand not wanting to spend $$$$$ to go to a destination bachelorette party, or wanting to stay out past midnight (I am an OMH, afterall and don't like staying out too lateWink), but it's lame to blame being married and not even make an appearance at the party!

  • FI family is coming to visit this weekend.  His brother, SIL, and nephews.   We are viewing this as a consolation visit as the SIL and nephews aren't coming out for the wedding in August.   The plan is to visit the EMP, Pike Place Market and maybe Bainbridge Island.

Ashley I agree your friend is crazy just because you get married doesn't mean you don't go out anymore!

  • I know I'm a day late, but happy belated Friday! Spent most of yesterday fussing around with emissions/car tabs (ugh...tho I can thank my future hubby for doing all the driving to Burien to Kent back to Burien ;) Then we went and saw the baker for our cupcakes again to decide how to decorate them...and to pay! And I paid for the limos yesterday too....and we paid off the flowers.....it's so awesome that we're so close because the only stuff left to pay for is Hair and makeup and the caterers :):) It's almost over!!!! :D:D 3 weeks :D
