So I HATE when people ask me...
"How long? 4 days?! ARE YOU EXCITED?"

The next time someone asks me am I excited I am going to say no just to see their face. I'm getting married to my best friend..of course I'm excited! Stop asking!!

What are ya'll getting asked that's so aggravating it makes your skin crawl?

haha I have to agree with you!
All of my coworkers ask the same thing, EVERY day... Now I wouldn't mind if it was 2 weeks later or along those lines, but minus what I told you yesterday and you'll get your answer!

AND, I have a countdown on my wall calendar that everyone can see. But they still insist on asking me!

I am so annoyed when people ask me if there's anything they can do. No, at this point, I've had to do it all myself and whatever's left, I need to do myself since you don't know how to organize the seating chart or what to put in the programs. I could have used some help over the past 13 months while I've been doing everything!

EXACTLY WHAT BRIDETOBE SAID

NOW is when people are asking if they can help. I mean, seriously?? I only have 24 more days left.

I told one of my friends who offered to help me out that the one task I need help with is putting a microdot hole punch into 259 place cards, tying a wire into the hole, and then hanging a silver bow charm down from the wire.Suddenly no one seems interested in helping.

Oh yes!! What is also so great (sarcasm) is when those that have been absent thoughout the whole planning process and don't know why you have things the way you have it decide to make their suggestion of what they think. If I wanted to know...I would ask. Other wise...shut up

HAHAHAH that's my fiance. I have had to do basically everything myself and make all of the decisions myself and now that the seating chart was finished, he wants to change it all around. And now I'm just sitting here waiting on him to change it so I can get that info to the calligrapher so she can do the seating chart! And I need to get it to the caterer! He's taking his sweet time.

My response is: I always have cold feet. I know what they mean by the question, I just think it's a stupid one so I respond with something equally as stupid.

I never know how to respond. am i ready to get married? yes. are there thousands of details/meetings/projects/etc. that I need to accomplish before then? also yes.

Story of my life. Oh, I'll help you out with whatever you need! Just let me know! ... Then the time comes and no one is available... ever. I have had help with Invitations but that was literally the only time I was able to wrangle up people to chip in their offers of help.

HAHA I completely understand!! Love my FI with all my heart and soul but yesterday I could have strangled him. We built our arbor out of real logs and wood (it's an outdoors themed wedding). That joker is heavy as a freakin elephant. After I had it placed so we would all have room to walk to move, he decided it looked to far back and needed to move it. Guess who was the only there to help him move it. Me. After we finally move it and he understands why I had it there we moved it back. It took three men to move it when it was put together. I wanted to say so bad just listen to me. I measured everything and this is how it has to go. Lord...

Yes everyone is willing to help now, but not willing at the same time. One of my BM's came over yesterday and was like I can take a bunch of programs home and try and do them if not I'll give them back to you at your bachelorette party this weekend. Uhhhh gee thanks?! I was like oh I have to be done with them by this weekend as I have no time next week, but thanks anyways.

I am so glad I'm not alone. FI and I went on vacation this past weekend with my family and I was asked all of these questions and did not know the appropriate reply. Probably 4 different people asked if there was anything they could do to help, and then when I said I could use their help with "x" they weren't actually free, of course. And I'm not talking anything major- like "could you come up with 3 songs you think we should have our DJ play?" or "could you proofread my ceremony program?".
