Cincinnati Churches

I am recently engaged, and looking for a church to get married in. My fiance and I do not belong to any particular church, but are Christian. Does anyone have any suggestions on pretty churches that allow non members to get married at their church? Ive done some research, and find alot of churches charge ALOT of money to use their facility... and we are definitely on a budget! We're open to any part of town, but live on the east side (norwood area).

Congratulations on your recent engagement!

DH and I were on a tight budget as well-- unfortunately, even with all the bargain hunting I did, we couldn't find a church that would marry us for a lower cost. Everywhere I looked, they had "member" and "non-member" prices. I think we ended up paying $500 for Sycamore Prebsyterian Church (near Mason). It was a beautiful church, and they let us use a family member to marry us (I'm sure it helped that he is a Presbyterian minister:)). Plus, they had a "wedding hospitality hostess" that coordinated the facility, helped direct traffic, etc. for the day of the wedding (and the rehearsal).

Kumler Chapel in Oxford is beautiful and they charge $500 too. BYOP- bring your own preacher!

We had our ceremony at St. Aloysius and it was awesome. Not sure what your budget is but we paid $775 for use of the space, day of coordinators, and some decorations. It went flawlessly and the coordinators are great to work with.

Thanks everyone for responding! Any suggestions on reception sites? We're considering the Madison, but have looked at 20th century, Twin Lanterns already.

If you're still looking for a chapel/church: SEM Villa in Olde Milford. $500 but you get about half that returned once the clean-up is complete. It's a lovely Art Deco facility that holds about 225 people.
