Another dress issue

I went to pick up my dress yesterday and it's HUGE!!!! I lost 36 pounds since I've bought it and now I have no time to send it to alteration where I live because they need two weeks to do and I don't have them here once we are travelling to where we will be getting married in 14 days.
Praying to find someone there that can do the alterations within one week, or I won't have a wedding gown at all!!!!

    @ Lisa 50 - as a matter of fact I lost the weight in 2 1/2 months. PX90 really works mainly when you stop taking a couple of medicines that make you crazily put weight on!!

    Oh, okay ... as long as you're remaining healthy.  At this point, I say just go to Nordstrom and buy a new dress.  As you know, that's my standard "solution," hahaha!  I'm sure you'll get it all worked out.

    Order a $99 dress air mail from David's Bridal!  That was my solution...

    Start calling tailors, I bet you can find someone that can help you. Sound pathetic on the phone and beg.  You might need to forego a bridal salon and try a private tailor.

    Well, a very similar situation happened to me. I needed my dress taken in 12 days prior and because of the hand stiched lace - that would have to be removed my hand and reapplied by hand - I ended up buying a new dress at Cache - I love it!

    Sometimes I think things happen for a reason.

    @ Lisa - I really LOVE your solution...it looks a lot like my own; but FI will be very angry at me if I have to buy a third dress for the wedding. I already have the one I brought from Italy and he doesn't want me to wear it!!! It's too big now as well...

    @ lindaloulubbock - I thought about it, but I really don't want to buy another dress...maybe a dress for the reception but it won't solve my main problem...the gown will be still too big...sigh!!!

    @ Marrin - I stopped the meds because they were not helping me out whatsoever and the doctor agreed with me...in less than 40 days, I literally shrinked because most of the fluid retention caused by the meds were gone.

    I understand about the fluid retention; I think that's my problem right now.
