Just a random question: What is everyone walking down the aisle to?

I am walking down the aisle, being escorted by my younger brother and the song is Train's "Marry me"

  • I have no idea. Ceremony music is one thing fi is choosing all by himself, and he keeps changing his mind!

We worked on it together, I worked on the pop music and him the country. Our first dance will be Jennifer Hudson's "If this isn't love" Although he has two left feet; I love him and his effort. He gets out there and dances as if nobody cares what he dances like.

Our entire entourage entered to "Storybook Love" from "Princess Bride".  When we heard it together for the first time it brought tears to our eyes.  We had a rather large group standing with us, 4 attendants each and my DH's DD.

ETA: We also didn't have an aisle we entered to the left and right in front of our guests.

I won't have an aisle so I won't be walking down it, but I will be singing to my fiance. He says I have 'musical Tourette's' because I burst into song all the time. There's no more fitting way to marry him than through singing. What I'll sing has yet to be determined. To make this a bit awkward I also sang at my first wedding, but I can't remember WHAT I sang. Is that odd? Meh. It's what it is. Whatever I pick will be what I'm feeling.
  • We were pretty traditional. Used "Canon in D".
  • I love Canon in D, and am thinking about it as well. We're still in the early stages of planning, but I think we're almost settled on "It Had to be You" by Harry Connick jr for our first dance. "When Harry met Sally" is kinda our thing, and we were really great friends before getting together, so it's fitting.

I really like "I could Write a Book" too, and that might find its way into the ceremony instead of reception ...

  • I will walk in to "I can't help falling in love with you" played on accoustic guitar.
  • Not sure yet but it's either gonna be halo by beyonce or a thousand years by Christina (can't remember her last name right now)
  • kmead76 -  mother's walked into A Thousand Years by the Piano Guys - check it out! It's amazing. I love it, even more that Christina Perri's original!
