Venues for Cocktail Reception

Does anyone have any ideas for local venues that would be good for a cocktail reception with about 100 guests?  Any ideas on cost of these venues?

Where in the state do you want to be? Will you be married on site or elsewhere? Is it like a sit-down reception with dancing or just a standing/mingling cocktail hour?

Some that come to mind are The Towers in Narragansett, Kinney Bungalow in Narragansett and The Meeting House in Tiverton - all of which cost less than $3,000 to rent when I was looking last year. Also the North Beach Clubhouse at Narragansett Town Beach holds 100. I have more info about it at work if you're interested and pictures of the first three I mentioned.

The Botanical Gardens at Roger Williams Park also would be lovely, but it was pricier than that - over $4,000 for me as a Providence resident and more than that for a nonresident. But maybe they have a cheaper hourly rate if you're not looking for a full reception with dancing, etc.

With that said, I would check out the botanical gardens or the   Governor Henry Lippit Museum
