  I would say Turks and Caicos.  We went to St. Thomas a few years back for vacay, and it only has a couple of beautiful beaches.  Turks and Caicos seems like it would be better equipped for a honeymoon as far as beaches, and not so pushy locals.  We went to Pun ta Cana, D.R.--Hard Rock Resort.  Beautiful.

  Both places are very nice,  you should also consider travel time from your city, resort options (do you want all adult all inclusive or something special?)
  I would recommend you call a travel agency with an consultant who know both locations so you can get all the pros and cons.
  Just FYI a travel agency does not cost you any thing extra and is usually less than
  doing the same thing on your own. With the added benifit of having some
  one to call if things like weather dont go as planned.

  Turks and Caicos! Definitely more of a HM location. St. Thomas caters more to families.

  My husband and I are heading to Turks and Caicos in January for our "baby-moon".  Our Travel Agent suggested it.  We've stayed at a couple Sandals and really enjoyed them, but this time we are staying at a Beaches.  It is a family resort- but she is assuring us that it can also be very coupley and won't have too many kids when we are there in January.  We had some friends go and they loved it.
