Jeter, how's married life treating you?  We started last week because I mentioned to people how I have saved a lot of money by writing a menu and then grocery shop exclusively for that menu - lots less food wasted, thus saving money.  Someone asked me to post the week's shopping list, and Oceana suggested we do it every week so everyone can swap ideas/recipes and if someone's feeling particularly lazy, the entire list! !

Mine are links, too - you just have to click the menu item to be brought to a recipe, just FYI.

    Married life is fab.

I totally love this idea - I finally got back in the groove of doing the menu planning/grocery planning a couple weeks ago and it helps A TON.  I just have to make sure I don't let DH go to the store because he tends to spend WAY too much money on unnecessary things - anyone else have this problem??

And thanks for the clicky recipe links!

YES. FI hates to grocery shop so he just kind of walks up and down the aisles and grabs things he wants, rather than what we need. It's kind of like food shopping with a four-year-old.

Well anyway HUZZAH for reviving this! I really enjoyed seeing it last week, and I thought I'd take it upon myself to do it this week ^_^

I was thinking - what about doing this post on Fridays to prepare for the following week?  So that people like me who do shopping on the weekends for the week has everything planned out?

Jeter, that'd be a good idea, except I do it on Mondays, so it wouldn't work for me.  I find I tend to cook a lot less on weekends, so stuff I buy then goes to waste.

You could always post yours for the past week, and get ideas for the following week?
