So I finally FINALLY sent out the deposit for a DJ! SO frickin excited! I've been working on a Dj since about October so this is a HUGE relief!
Also sent the deposit for caterer which was freaking me out temporarily there. There are a sweet older couple and I just know they're going to do a great job. Our menu is a buffet style, but there will be servers so it has a nicer feel and everything is served to the guests also allowing portion control which is another plus. (Not that they refuse food to people, but inevitably someone will want both meats and they can cut two pieces instead of two giant hunks of meat.)
We have:
roast beef au jus
lemon pepper chicken
steamed zuchinni
steamed carrots
steamed green beans
garden salad with ranch or vinagrette (awesomely they use spinach and romaine so no stupid iceburg. I hate iceburg. lol)
mini rolls
mini croissants
twice baked mashed potatoes
sweet and unsweet tea
sparkling lemonade
We'll take care of the booze. They also cut the cake and I love how they do that as well. The servers will cut slices, put them on a platter, and take them from table to table so guests can choose without having to stand in a line. Yay!
I'm really so happy that we're going with them! I can't wait to see how everything turns out on the day of!!!!
