NYC-area wedding venue

If anyone has any advice, like practical advice that you wish someone would have told you before picking a venue in the NYC-met area, I would love to know.  I am looking at venues in Westchester and Queens for my potentially early 2013 wedding.  Does anyone have any tips re: The Foundry, The Caste on the Hudson, or any other castle type place in the area?

    Not really a castle, but Roulette in Downtown Brooklyn, is a beautiful Art Deco theater that has recently been renovated with some pretty awesome details. Plus it's near hotels, restaurants and Ft. Greene Park. Their website has some pics: www.roulette.org
