Flame Free Friday :)

I don't really have anything to add.

Tiffany may flame me for this:  I'm not going to see Randy Rogers tonight.  :(  We just have so much house work I want to get done this weekend and if we go out tonight and see RR we won't get home until late and then it will be slow going to get out of bed tomorrow morning.  Plus, we saw him last year and while it was fun, he didn't play for nearly as long as he normally does.  I'm sure I'll be regretting not going tonight, though.

BOOOOOO!!!!  Just Kidding, Mariah.   I actually tend to agree that the Lone Star Park concerts are really not that great.   We are actually going to go early and watch the horse races, and the concert is just a bonus. I figure for $5 we can't go wrong. =)

P.S.  If I owned my house I would definitely rather do what you are going to be doing.

I know!  I'm like, "But when do we EVER get to see RR for $5??"  :)

No Kidding!  I'm pretty excited!   It is also my way of "tricking" Mark into seeing a country concert with me.  It's not usually his cup of tea.

I went to try on bridesmaids dresses last night and we quickly found a dress that looked good on every girl. The lady at the store walked up and looked at the girl in our party that weighs the most/is the shortest and says "If it looks good on you, then it'll look good on everyone." OK wtf?! Why did she need to say that? I get her point, but we had already established that it looked good on all of us, it didn't need to be said and she didn't need to be singled out as the person that things might not look as good on.

    Hey guys.  Remember me?

I have been so slammed by work and life lately, I hardly EVER have time to check The Knot.  What's new? Any drama lately?  ;)

Beth--David's bridal in Frisco. It was some young girl helping us. She was trying to be helpful, but it just came off so insulting. My friend has lost a lot of weight, but is still very body-conscious. I just know that if I had been singled out with that comment, I would be taken aback would feel kind of crappy .

Cherrrylll - I can't believe she would say something like that!!! How rude! That defiantly was an "open mouth, insert foot" moment for her!

So we are going to a friends wedding tomorrow night....come to find out the bride wants to leave the wedding like ASAP with her man so they can get it on. I just had to get it off my chest how tacky I thought this was seeing that family and friends have supported you and are here to celebrate with you two getting married and that's how you re-pay them. They have "waited" for this - however they dated in the past and already had this "act" accomplished with each other before they began dating again.....confused yet? Cause I know I am.....

Any time that we have a lot of subs on campus, my principal makes an announcement to the whole school--where the kids can hear it too--that we have lots of subs on campus.  I don't understand why he makes this announcement.  Why not just open the doors and tell the kids to go home because we're not having school today?

I also thought that there was a B&M on yesterday's AW post and I think it may be time to post some Knot lingo to our newbies.

    1. I think that's stupid too. Sure, we're waiting and we "cant wait" but jeez louise, I'm not skipping out on the party early! I worked way too hard to miss the fun. We're even going to subject ourselves to possibly prying comments the next day at brunch so we can see our family.

    2. I missed most of Tornado week on the Weather Channel, and I'm pissed.

    3. I started having these weird heart flutters and might have to get it checked by a doctor. Unfortunately our insurance sucks and my parents would be out a lot of $$$. I feel horrible. My mother also called me twice this morning to make sure I was okay. Argh. I shouldn't have told her.

I'm flaming my husband for being stupid.  He was riding his bike on rollers (kind of like a self-propelled treadmill for cyclists) and got lazy and was only pedalling with one foot.  Of course that threw him off balance, he fell over, his back wheel came off, and the large gear that turns the chain sliced 6 huge gashes in his arm that are about 5 inches long each.

I'm also flaming myself because after making sure he was okay, I couldn't stop laughing when I was imagining what it looked like when he fell.  I'm a horrible wife.  :)

I got pretty sick at work today so now EVERYONE is asking me if I'm pregnant- except for 1 woman who said I am beginning menopause!!  Everyone that gets sick or has a hot flash is not pregnant or menopausal.  Please.

Cherrrylll- I would have cried then called her a hobag behind her back.  Some people are so insensitive and have no brain to mouth filter.

Marissa, do you drink alot of caffeine?  Because the heart palpitations happen to me sometimes when A) I'm stressed (as you probably are right now) or B) when I drink too much caffeine.  So if you drink it, try cutting it out for awhile if you can and see if it helps.

Yeah, I thought of that--I occasionally go on caffeine binges, but I haven't in awhile. I ended up going to get a (useless) EKG today and thyroid test. Might have to go see a cardiologist next week--booooo! I'm just hoping it goes away on its own over the weekend.
