Recommend your Jeweler (CNJ)

Hi Ladies, fiance and I started looking for wedding bands but are having a hard time finding a jewelry store we like .. we live in Woodbridge, NJ.  (We do want to go to the local Jewelry Exchange, fiance had a bad experience with my 'custom' engagement ring).   Any reccomendations please?

Re: Recommend your Jeweler (CNJ)

  • You do or don't want to do the jewelry exchange? FI and I have purchased our wedding bands, earrings for my grandma, and my engagement ring all from Erdman's jewelers in the jewelry exchange. He earrings for my grandma were custom made in 36 hours including him sending someone into manhattan to buy the stones. My FI's band was custom made in about a week. I had my engagement ring resized once, balls added to stop spinning, and the stone reset all for no charge on three separate occasions by them. We love them because even though they have one of the smallest booths there, they have been amazing people to work with and are fantasicly priced. If you really don't want jewelry exchange my parents use Marinaccio Jewelers in matawan and they are great there too.

We were living in Woodbridge when planning, and also avoided the Jewelry Exchange.  We got my H's ring at Robert Anthony Jewelers in Westfield, and were really happy with their work.  He was incredibly picky about his ring, we must have gone to 10 different stores.  They also engraved both of our rings for a very reasonable small fee.  My ring was custom made at Daren Michaels in Millburn, again I have nothing but good things to say about them.  Here is a pic of both of our wedding rings:

  • My FI bought my engagement ring from Helzberg in Woodbridge Mall, and we just bought our bands there today.  We love them.  Check them out.

  • We used Trimarco Jewelers in Maplewood, NJ.  We loved them.  Ken Trimarco went out of his way to teach us about diamonds.  He spent about 30-45 mintutes teaching us before he showed us anything.  Just a warning, the place is not nice looking (stains on the floor, have to be buzzed in the front door etc), but looks can be deciving.  The service we recieved at Trimarco far exceeded any other place we went.
Ken designed my ring with my fiance and I.  He took our pictures and ideas and made it exactly what we wanted.  It turned out PERFECT!!!!  We recomend them to all of our friends.
