COLOR HELP!!

Hello Ladies,

I need your help! Up until a few days ago, we pretty much had our color combo picked out. However, we found a new location (High Grove at Laurel Lake) and since we are now having a tent wedding and it is in the summer time, the red, black, and white, that we originally liked for our vintage wedding is not going to fly. We really really love the down home, southern ,clean, simple feel of it. So anyway, again, we need new colors for a summer wedding that will look nice. Help!! Thanks!!Smile

    I feel ya on the color thing.  We are debating on colors too.

    I LOVE blue so we are using multiple blues--but mainly a light Carolina Blue (the guys will wear navy blue blazers)

    Here are some color combos to think about:

    Pink and Green

    Blue & Yellow

    Blue & Coral

    Blue & Brown

    I would say have at least one vibrant color.

    I hope this helps...this isn't my forte.

    I am a big fan of blue and brown.  Take a nice dark chocolate brown and accent it with one or two shades of blue.  I think that would have that nice summer airy feel without being too bright or flashy.

    I love navy and coral (as previous poster mentioned) but if you're doing vintage, how about taking some muted colors and throwing them in with white? Maybe a muted gray and a muted khaki, or something. When I think vintage I think old white and glass vases, brown leather books, faded papers, soft linens, etc. Just my random though there. :)

    Are you attached to the red? Because a Red & White wedding in the summer might be fantastic (red & white striped linens, gerbera daisies, cherry pies etc.)

    One more thing- have you checked out Style Me Pretty? Fantastic stuff there. :)

    I second style me pretty. I got married in June & we used red, black & white. We were attached to the colors before we picked our wedding date. Any color combo can work, it just depends on what you do with it. We used gerbera daisies and that definitely gave it a summery look. 

    I can't remember where I saw it but I saw an awesome inspiration board with red & yellow. You can check out the perfect palate...you can find any color combo there.

    I love yellow and grey or yellow and black!  I think they are modern and not everyone uses them.
