We are having:
chocolate vanilla marble w/ chocolate fudge
strawberry and lemon

    I love that so many are doing red velvet (it is my fav), but my first wedding cake was red velvet so I thought I should stay away from that this time around.

    grooms cake will be chocolate. "regular" cake will be vanilla with real strawberry preserves and cream cheese frosting with fondant accents-Can't wait!!

    We haven't picked our cake yet (Sept 15th!)  I think I might be most excited about the cake tasting! It's going to be delicious!

    We're doing cupcakes in vanilla, "black and tan" which is chocolate with caramel frosting, and  "black bottom" which is chocolate and cheesecake. Then we're having a cake for us to cut which is raspberry truffle. yum.

    We are having white with strawberry filling and chocolate with some sort of chocolate filling I can't remember what it is with buttercream frosting.  My mom and aunt are making it.

    We're doing cupcakes. Flavours will be apple cinnamon with baked apple centre and pumpkin spice, both with cinnamon buttercream icing.

    We're doing cupcakes with a small cake on top.  Our cupcakes will be three flavors: red velvet with cream cheese frosting, strawberry swirl with vanilla buttercream, and marble cake (chocolate/vanilla swirl) with buttercream frosting.  Our top cake will be the marble with an oreo buttercream frosting.  So delicious!

    Groom's cake will be chocolate. We were going to do just Lemon/white for the cake but then I thought what if people don't like lemon and just ate the groom's cake so the bottom tier is lemon and the top two tiers are almond with amaretto frosting

    You've probably had Ukrop's bakery cakes since you are a VA resident. We are getting a lemon pound cake with white icing from there. Very traditional but oh so delicious!

    Our cake tasting and decision day isn't until September 12th! No idea what to go for, though I have thought about seeing if they can do blue velvet cake instead of red because our colors are blue and silver.

    I wanted a red velvet cake so bad, but FI plans on smashing the cake on me so no red cake.
    We are having all three tiers Vanilla cake, vanilla icing each tier has 2 layers in it and we are having one layer be Banana Bavarian Cream & one layer Chocolate covered strawberry. 

    Our bakery also does a dessert buffet for us, we will be getting chocolate covered strawberries, key lime pie, pumpkin cheesecake, red velvet cake, buckeye cake, a linzer torte, caramel apple cake, Oreo cheesecake and a berry flaan.

    We are definiately having Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, and I think Snickers and Key Lime Cheesecake.

    I have been obsessed with lime lately.

    Bottom half Choc half van w/ fresh raspberry filling 3rd tier red velvet w/ cream cheese icing filling 1st 2nd tiers rum glazed rum cake w/ pineapple filling All iced in buttercream! So excited!! Our bakery has the most amazing rum cake...I'm drooling just thinking about it!
