Ceremony Sites?

Hey girls

So I have everything booked...except a ceremony site. Does anyone have any suggestions for ceremony sites that are indoors in Lexington? I can't use my home church...unless I want to get married in the gym so that is out. I'm at a loss as many churches won't allow non-members to use their facility. Anything?

I can't help you.  But I just wanted to let you know you weren't being ignored.
    The Kentucky board is SLOW.
There is a Kentucky-Louisville board, and I tell all girls from Lexington to check there, since Louisville and Lexington are so close.
I'm SW, along TN line, so I can't offer much.

Where are you having your reception? This may inspire some ideas. :-)

I know Southland has chapels that they will allow non-members to use. I think you have to go through marriage counseling or something there, though.

We used the minister at Central Christian, who I just adore, and I do believe you can marry there as a non-member.

Non-church ideas--the Kentucky Theatre, the Downtown Arts Center, and the Lexington Opera House.

There are bunches and bunches of older posts about venues in the Lexington area - both for ceremonies and receptions.  Flip back a couple pages & take a look.

Wrkn, this board was busy and Louisville dead when I started posting.  The old regs disappeared when the format change happened last year, and the tide has turned now.  :D

Dresses may be easier to take in than let out, but guest lists are not. -- kate51485

    Check out http://www.themusicdifference.com/vendors/
There is a fairly long list of venues.  I would talk to your other vendors to see if they have any recommendations.

I know that there are some churches that do not require you to be a church member.

Thanks for that link!  I'm still searching for a vendor for my September wedding for 2011 in Frankfort, and having a hard time pinning down a place.

I got married at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, we had the ceremony and reception there. It is so beautiful! Good luck planning
