PHOTOGRPHER HELP!!! SUGGESTIONS?

I am trying to help my bride here! I got the job of finding a photographer, being a so called "ex-photographer" myself. I have had a few recommendations but can't find some here I am looking for. Anyone heard of Reid Photography, or Todd Sherman? The first guy I contacted was booked and suggested these guys. I can't just go on these little profiles here but would feel safe with a personal recommendation. "Reid" did my nephew's wedding, he said nice things but I want to hear some others. I don't know much about Todd, I am waiting for his reply but seems reasonable. I have until next july so I should have some time right?

Thanks,

Aaron

    Hi there!

I haven't heard of either of the photogs you mentioned. You can check out the Welcome post at the top of the main board, it has a link to our recommended vendors list. The photogs listed there (there are a lot!) have all been used by a Pittsburgh Knottie at some point in time, who was happy with their service.

Is there a budget you would like to stay at or under? I would venture a guess and say that any photog on the list is going to come it in the $1K-$5K range. And I actually wouldn't waste too much time trying to find someone. I'm getting married next May and booked our photographer last October. She has since had inquiries for my date. FWIW, we are using Randi Voss. I cannot say enough good things about her.

Edit: Also, please don't title your post in all capital letters. We will see your post, you don't need to draw more attention to it.

I can't help you out with those photographers but we are using Caitlin Thomas. I love her so much and I already have had a good friend from high school and a bridesmaid of mine book her because they loved my engagement pictures.

    Good luck!

We're using Ashley Nicole Photography.   She has been absolutely incredible so far!  I can't recommend her enough.   We'll be having an engagement session with her next month.  She has a very creative, artistic style, and her prices are very, very reasonable.  Good luck!

I'm using Limelight Images (thanks to great Knottie recommendations) and I can't say enough good things about them. During our consultation  they showed us an entire wedding from beginning to end, multiple engagement shoots, and whatever else we were looking for.  Their pricing is more than reasonable and includes an engagement shoot, 2 photographers, unlimited coverage, etc.  I would highly recommend them to anyone! Good luck!

We ended up with Bryan Reid, after meeting with a few others "just to be safe". we had to go back to him. He works mostly off of referrals I guess. Nobody  else could touch his work and the other photographers were kinda conceited (or itv was a side thing). Bryan seemed cool, and from what my nephew and his bridal party said he was actually fun. $2500 for the day all inclusive helps also!!!! Plus, I don't want some scrub that just started out. Thanks for the recommendations anyway.
