I'm an August 4 bride and one BM hasn't yet ordered her dress-- eek!

I don't think any of our GM have been fitted for their suits yet, but they've got a little longer to prepare, not needing alterations and all..

Are all of your gals and guys ready?

Depending in where the dresses are coming from your BM should probably get on that ASAp! I'm an 8/18 bride all my girls have their dresses and shoes ordered and picked up. David's Bridal was super fast all dresses came in in 3 weeks, but they did say it could take 2 months. Groomsmen have purchased their attire, we still need to buy the ties and suspenders for them.

Wow, I hope your BM orders soon! That's cutting it close!

All my BMs have their dresses. Jewelry, shoes and alterations are up to them and I'm not worrying about it. My FH was going to call the tux place today to see who is left to give measurements. Last we heard his best man, GM and usher need to be fitted. The deadline is this Saturday.

Im the bad one...Im the bride and I have yet to pick out my bridemaid dresses. They keep nagging at me to go do it but its just hard to find the time I have so much going on right now. Good thing is im planning on going with sundresses with cowboy boots so we should be able to get them without ordering.

DeClue, the dress is from DB too, so hopefully they have it in stock and she gets it right away. Guess she'd have to actually order it first :P

I'm trying not to nag her.. she's citing money issues, and I've offered to help her out with whatever. I made the same offer to all the girls way back when FI proposed almost 2 years ago, so it's not like I'm patronizing her by offering. But the dress is $80. Come on lol.

Bridejl, I'm doing the same-- not dictating hair, makeup, shoes, etc. I told them I'm having people come to do my hair/makeup, so if they want it done too, to let me know so I can give the stylists fair notice.

Well, I just ordered the BM's dresses this weekend, they will arrive by the last Sat. of this month..I have already been offered the services of alterations by a co-worker for cheap so Im not too worried..My mom is my maid of honor and I have one of my best gals so I only have to worry about 2..They will take care of their shoes and all. Now the tuxes, that is a totally different story!!

My guy thinks he can put it off until July or even the beginning of August and I have given up nagging him about it so hopefully these guys WILL have tuxes come the day of the wedding!

I was in a end-of-July wedding once, and I ordered the BM dress from DB on Memorial Day (the bride hadn't picked it out until then), and it came in the first week of July. So you probably still have some time!

All of my girls have there dresses, but like many others, i dont care about hair style, jewlery or shoes.

As far as Groomsmen go, we don't have to have that in until the second week of July so they have plenty of time to get them ordered. It's on my list of things to follow up on

That would stress me out beyond! I'm sorry to hear that. All my girls have their dresses and shoes, and I purchased their jewerly. All the guys have been fitted. Just waiting for the BIG DAY 8/4!! Woot woot!

I'm in the same boat as you. I have one BM with a dress and the other who won't order. She thinks she can lose weight and go in a month or so and order a dress and they will have one. Um no but ok. I have stressed to her how important it is for her to have a dress and if she is so concerned about her weight than she should just order her size now and I will pay for the alterations if needed. Ugh! I can only worry so much though.

I'm an August 4 bride also. With the David's Bridal dresses it seems to really depend on the size how quickly it comes. Many of the PP's are citing delivery times of a couple of weeks. Three out of the four bridesmaids recieved their dresses within a couple of weeks. My bridesmaid who ordered hers first (and happens to be a size 8, perhaps they get more orders for that size?) has been waiting months and is still waiting! I'm going to get them jewelry and still haven't decided on shoes, but I'm not too worried about that yet.

Some of the groomsmen are measured, not sure if they all are. I should probably call to check...

I would just get her on it, I'm sure they will be in since its DB and they are so fast seeing as many of us have this experience with them.

All of the BMs have their dresses already. Like PPs I'm not worrying about alterations as I think they can all handle it. They will pick out their own shoes, jewelry, etc.

The GMs are wearing their own black suits. FI still needs to order ties for them.

My girls dresses are in but only one has gone for her fitting, two have the info for the dress shop and said they will make appointments, and I haven't been able to get in touch with the fourth girl at all, appearantly she had her phone turned off. None of the guys have been fitted for tuxes, not even FI. We told them any time in June would be good because the tux shop said it would be better to wait until after prom season was over.

Dresses are in...they get fitted next week and we look for shoes this that weekend too! Ordering flowergirl dresses this weekend! The guys still have to get fitted only the groom has been fitted. Wedding August 18th

All of my BMs have ordered their dresses. With the bridal shop we went to, the dresses had to be ordered within two weeks of one another, so the shop could place the order at the same time and ensure the dresses are in the same dye lot. The dresses are all in, and some of the girls have done alterations already, and others have not. They just need to get silver shoes of any style, and they can wear whatever jewelry they want. Half of the girls are getting their hair done with me and the salon and others are doing in on their own or with their own stylist.

As for the GM, all but one has been fitted. Our tuxedo place recommended all of the guys get fitted by mid-June, but it is flexible, so I'm not worried.

My girls ordered a while back but the last one just picked it up and tried on last week as she is out of state and came in for my shower. She told me she gained weight so i was hoping it fit, then she told me she ordered up a size and after trying it on in the salon she goes well i think i should have another size down then they would just have to hemm it. I looked at her and was like these took 3 months to come you cant order another size your going to have to have it altered plus their chiffon so dye lot issue. I offered to ship a month ago but she hadnt paid the balance then just said to wait til she came to RI.

Just dont order a designer that takes long to come in. Liz fields takes almost 3 months.

I feel your pain! One of my bridesmaids has yet or order her dress for my Aug 11th wedding, and its so stressful! She also blames money problems, and I've offered multiple times to pay for the dress. She promised an order by June 15th... I'm marching to Davids Bridal to order it myself if she hasn't ordered it by then. The others girls all received their dresses between 8 days to 2 weeks, so hopefully 8 weeks is enough time for the dress to come in! Argh!

I have a different problem. My Mom is sewing all the dresses - mine, hers, my sister's (MOH) and the 2 flower girls. The FG dresses are done, as is her dress, but not he jacket. My dress hasn't been started and my sister's is last. She has promised that my whole outfit will be done by the first week of June. FI has not ordered his suit yes as the tux place told him not to do it more than a month in advance as brides always change their minds! I've promised not to change my mind so he is going next week. The dress not being ready is getting to me!
