Flowers on a budget

Hello fellow brides,

I am sure there are a ton of brides out there who have done their shopping for flourists in the area. Can you tell me which flourist came in first as far as cost goes? Just trying to narrow down my search, and of course cost is my number one issue. Not willing do to the Pikes Market route though.

Thank you!!

    Hello!

I had a tight budget when it came to a florist. Jing from Valentina's Floral Design.was awesome. She was a great pleasure to work with. She listened to what I wanted, worked around my budget, and  very quick to respond in all forms of contact we've had so far. You should definitely check her out!

Are you willing to put them together yourself, or is there someone you know who can do it? We ordered all of our flowers from Costco for under 300 bucks. Just gonna take a little DIY.

I don't know what counts as inexpensive as far as flowers are concerned, but we got our flowers for less than $400, with no DIY, from Flowers on 15th on Capitol Hill. We told them our budget, and the number of bouquets (1 for me, 2 for bridesmaids, and 2 for flowergirls), boutonnieres (3), and centerpieces (12) we wanted, and they figured out what they could do for that amount. I lovedlovedloved the boutonnieres and bouquets. The centerpieces were very simple (basically, bowls with flower floats) but still really pretty.

I second Jing from Valentinas Floral Design! Thanks to the PP rec, I contacted Jing and she is awesome so far! (Our wedding isn't till August) I love how she listens to exactly what you want and works around any budget. I told her all I wanted and she had great suggestions to what works and looks good. Definitely check her out! She is also quick to answer e-mails or phone calls which is a plus IMHO. Laughing

I don't know how DIY you want to go.

I personally went with Pike Place market.  The ladies there will also put together bouquets that you can use as a center piece or for your bouquet, etc.  I did have to make the corsages and bouts, though, which did not take too long once you get the first couple done.  HTH

We are doing DIY. I ordered a ton of baby's breath from fiftyflowers.com and about 120 garden roses. We are growing our own herbs and greens for centerpieces that with have a few garden roses in them for pop and then the ceremony is going to be decorated with a ton of babys breath.

I met with several different florists and went with The Perfect Petal http://perfectpetaldesigns.com/ .  Cost savings of DIY would have only been about $200 but for me it was worth the extra money to not have to worry about taking care of the flowers, especially with all the chaos of the few days prior to the wedding and the hot weather we had.
