Mobile Brides where are you having your wedding/reception?

I just got engaged and I have NO clue. I want something nice with a Bragg Mitchelle - esque feel but without the pricetag. Any suggestions? I'm so overwhelmed and everyone is telling me I need to find a place now because they book up fast.

    What have you decided on? I am new to this board and am planning a Mobile area wedding for December 2010. I'm currently looking at the Sea Lab Estuarium and the Robertson Art Gallery downtown.

    What about the Temple Downtown?  I think they provide everything in a package.  It also is a neat looking building on the outside to me.

    The Temple is amazing--its the first place I thought of when I decided to do my red/black wedding because it has these dramatic red curtains and a black & white checkerboard floor... but the pricetag killed it for me. $1500 plus a $500 security deposit die at the time of booking. Ouch. Needless to say, I am also still looking for somewhere to have my August wedding. And you thought YOU were running out of time! lol
