1. Did you celebrate Mardi Gras last night?
Not really, only had 1 beer at dinner to "celebrate." It's hard to celebrate on a Tuesday night when you wake up at 5:30 M-F.

2. Did you celebrate Ash Wednesday today?
Nope, not really religious.

3. Are you giving up anything for Lent?
Nope, see above.

4. What emotion would best describe how you're feeling towards wedding planning right now?
Anxious, I want all my checks done, and be married already

5. Any interesting plans for this weekend?
I was trying to meet up with some of my BMs for a Happy Hour, but it ain't looking so good, boo!

6. Have you seen the trailer for the movie "Bridesmaids," due out this May?
Yes

7. Do you wanna see it?
I think so, I tend to like the comedies that have featured those actors in the movie.

8. What sort of makeup are you going to have done on your wedding day?
I want something "fresh" and "vintage" looking. Pink lips and large bright eyes (little to no "smokey-ness"), and a touch of blush.

9. What sort of hair style will you be sporting down the aisle?
Curly half up & half down.

10. Do you have a wedding date "twin" that you know online or IRL?
IRL, she's a girl who used to date one of FI's fraternity brothers. That dude is a douche, but the girl is really nice. We FB eachother WR advice every now and then.

11. What kind of drink selection are you offering at your wedding (alcoholic and non)?
Alcoholic:
Beer- A keg of something by Rogue and another keg of Coors Light
Wine - a red or white from TJ's probably, maybe some 3 Buck Chuck, FI and I know nada about wine.
Champagne - also probably from TJ's

Non-alcoholic:
Bottled water
Soda
Tea Bar (different kinds of tea)
Sparkling Apple Cider (for toasting)

12. What are your favors going to be?
Bottled 22oz of Beer FI and I will brew in the next month.

13. Do you have a caketopper, or plan on having one? Describe!
Yes:

14. If money/seasonal flowers/allergies did not matter, what would your dream bouquet look like?
My bouquet would be full of pretty and lush white and pink peonies, but my wedding is too early in the Spring to do it

He uploaded music from our wedding music selection

I made a 4 page To-Do list of all the crap we still have to do

Nope, all FI

6 months at the absolute latest, but really it should be by 3 months, but I guess 6 months is "okay"

Yes, every single week since January has been going by faster and faster.... OMG the wedding is coming up so quick!

Nearly 100% of the time

a little stressed, but overall ok, I'm just ready to be done

my daughter is selling girl scout cookies at a local store on Saturday, then FI and I are having a much needed date night.

probably just my norm, nothing over the top, neutral colors only

Just beer for alcoholic, lemonade and water and coffee for non-alcoholic

I think chapsticks, that one of my friends makes/sells

we have one, but I'm wavering on if I want to use it, I found one online that I like better that is a couple dressed up in hunting gear

peonies, only white and green colors

ummm.....got shoe sizes for his groomsmen, we bought their shoes for their gifts

got my wedding jewelry and set up a piper for the processional

flustered

a birthday dinner at FI's family's.....which I am really excited about. FI's family are all kinda foodies and there is always always delicious food!

nope......but now I want to...

I'll let you know after I watch the trailer

8. What sort of makeup are you going to have done on your wedding day?..
not sure yet....but I know I won't have colored eye shadow....that is a big no-no for me. FI and I were just talking about this. lol. I prefer skin tone colored eyeshadows....like tans and browns, etc. I just hate colored eye shadow...totally not for me.....and especially not at a wedding

9. What sort of hair style will you be sporting down the aisle?
Well....I want to have it down with lots of loose curls....but lately I have been seeing some styles were its like in a very low side pony...or just clipped over to the side at the nape of the neck, with loose curls hanging down, and I am kinda really liking it, so I might try that.

10. Do you have a wedding date "twin" that you know online or IRL?
nope.

11. What kind of drink selection are you offering at your wedding (alcoholic and non)?
we can only serve beer and wine....but I think I am going to try to have a sangria....

12. What are your favors going to be?
small bells with ribbons tied around it in our wedding colors. These will be placed on the chairs and it is how the guests will "shower" us as we walk back down the aisle also

not yettt......maybe two starfish. I think I showed a pic before of one I like.

LOTS of calla lillies and orchids!!! .........or maybe that beautiful shell bouquet I showed on Monday

FI?.......hmm.....Him and his mom picked a mother/son song and he went through songs for our first dance too. Oh and he made a mock up of our DIY pocketfold!!!!

Found The Moore Hotel and we booked it on Sunday!

nope. FI did it all by himself. And I love it!!! and it was nothing like I had ever thought I wanted.

Classic ... like I wear everyday, but heavier coverage.

Half Up/Half Down, with a jeweled clip and veil.

Red & White wine (couple varieties of each), Bud Light keg, Coke, Diet Coke & Sprite

No favors, but we have a photo booth, so people can take home the extra photo booth strip.

Not sure yet, most likely something simple.

Pretty much what its going to look like ... mixture of flowers, cream and orange.

Confirmed the BM has booked a house for his bachelor party in Portland!

Made all the spa arrangements for my BP and sent out the details to the girls for the day before the wedding.

Nope - it was a surprise - and I love it!

3 months after the wedding, hoping we're done way in advance! (I'm a regular TY note sender!!)

We had a Mardi Gras potluck lunch. I brought cinnamon rolls, and hid treasures in them!

I would have but didn't have time to make it to Mass.

Giving up gluten, and being nice to a co-worker I can't stand.

Anxious. I've taken care of the big things, and have little things to do. But I'm not doing those things until I'm in Seattle in May!

FI is coming into town!! Running St. Paddy's Day 8K with him on Sunday

Nope, but my friends told me about it, and said I should go see it!

Sure, what the heck! I'm a sucker for a chick flick!

Very simple. I don't wear a lot generally, but something with a little more pop.

Most of it own, with soft curls. Part pulled back with veil

Wine from Columbia Winery (reception is there). Getting a keg of Fat Tire. Ice tea, lemonade and water.

Breaking a pinata, favors will be in there: Reese Mini PB Cups, Hershey's Kisses, personalized chap stick and mini candles in metal tins.

Red and Purple flowers.

I love my bouquet! But I would add more calla lilies.

Picked out the suits, and groomsmen have been measured and suits are being ordered tomorrow!!!

Kind of. We went to get my finger sized, and while were were there I pointed out settings I liked. He made the final selection, which I adore!

Very fast, too fast! All day I've been thinking tomorrow is Friday.

Right now I'm feeling good about it...with work beyond sucky lately I'm holding on to the fun of planning and thoughts about what's to come!

Going to pick up our centerpiece bowls (we're DIY) from two friends who are lending them to us.

Something that looks natural but plays up my eyes.

Punch, cofffee, tea and water - no alcohol and simple reception

We actually found two we like so will use one for the cake and the other as a decoration with the card box and guest book.

Hawaiian flowers as I'd be getting married on a beach on Kaui! LOL But otherwise pretty much like I'll have - roses, sweat peas, hydrangea's, gardenias.

Does paying for our honeymoon count? Pretty much all the planning he wants me to do...just let him know what's going on.

Made the appointment with the minister to start pre-marital counseling

I did. It was a ring I saw during a visit to Port Townsend for a friends wedding. I was going to buy it, thought it was pretty, but he paid then said I could wear it on my right hand but not my left...until he moved it.

I would say 1 month for a small wedding, short honeymoon (or none), 3 months would be the latest if you were on an extended trip.

fml... I need help from FI(who thinks I'm doing everything too early) and my Mom/MOH who is paying for the wedding along with my father(but has been SUPER busy with work and super sick )

Possibly lunch Thur (my sat) with FMIL and lunch Fri (sun) with my bms.

I just youtubed it... it looks pretty funny

Probably something pretty simple and earthy... I refuse to pay anyone to do my make-up(or hair for that matter) considering I went to beauty school and don't tend to like how others do my make-up

I will have side swept bangs with a tiara infront of my bump with the other half of my hair down. Hair will be curled.

There are a ton of girls with my date on the December 2011 board, but none IRL

Probably standard sodas/juice, plus festive hot cocoa/apple cider bar and a beer and wine selection. Our venue doesn't allow hard liquer.

If we do favors, we will probably rent a wooden sleigh from our venue and set it up like a photo booth with our photog, and pay for their first print.

I'm going to attempt to DIY mine. FI and I are big monty python fans, so I was thinking about a bird nest with 2 swallows and a coconut, possibly with our initials carved into the clay coconut... If it comes out I will AW it on here.

Black Magic Roses, Orange Tiger Lilies, White Mini Callas, Orange Ranaculous, White Lisanthus, Bells of Ireland, Curly Willow and Lilly Grass loops. *sigh*

Done by himself- nothing... We finalized our stationary(invites/rsvps/thank yous) and had them printed last week.

Booked caterer- we do alot of finalizing together

Memo's! --My FI and I agreed to have it once every other weekend, and this weekend is a Memo's weekend. other than that I don't have anything planned

I don't usually wear makeup, so I want it to be bright.

Loose curls. My hair is naturally curly I have never had it "curled." I really want soft romantic curls on my day

Because of religious reasons my fiance doesn't drink so we won't have alcohol at our wedding. We will probably have a large variety of teas, sodas, lemonades, sparkling cidars, and non-alcoholic mixed drinks

We are thinking model cars. My favorite "dream" car is the Murcielago and my FI loves the 458. so probably have a little lambo and a little ferrari on top of our cake

Cala lillies and some purple flower, obviously I haven't thought hard on this yet

No. but I was with the FI when we first went shopping and fell in love with this particular wedding band. he got me the matching e-ring.

I would say 8 weeks after.

Nope. I totally forgot.

No.

Instead of giving up things for Lent, I'm doing something.

Bleah.

Sadly, no. Probably more house hunting.

Nope.

Not really. I do want to see Adjustment Bureau and Sucker Punch.

I have no earthly idea. I will leave it up to the girls at Salon Maison to figure it out. Despite owning a lot of make up, I never really use it.

Probably a soft up-do with those twirl-in pearls and sparkly butterflies.

I think there is a woman on this board that has my same date. July 16th. Thankfully, no one I know iRL is getting married on the same day.

Fullly hosted bar, but no shots.

Haven't really decided yet. I think we're leaning towards Fran's truffles with a note of a donation made in their name and a candy bar. I kind of want to do crystal butterfly wine stoppers, but I have no idea if anyone would really want them. I have drawers full of junk I've picked up at weddings I never use.

It's very small, just two bears holding a heart.

Peonies. Lots and lots of fluffy, beautiful, peonies. Unfortunately, peonies is a short-lived spring flower.

Booking the honeymoon.

Meeting with our wedding planner (tomorrow). Other than that, sending the final go ahead on invitations.

Not really, though he had guidelines, none of which he followed except shape. :P

I don't know. I really suck at thank you cards. I'm going to have to gird up and just do them as gifts come in.

Memo's is a Mexican food restaurant. My I am from San Diego and I met my FI while he was working there. and Memo's reminds us of the hole-in-the-wall Mexican food joints in So Cal. We really love mexican food, and miss it alot. hahahaha.

I LOVE IT! Mostly becuase this sounds a lot like the hair style I had for my senior prom back in the day. I had a gold headband with a bow, not a tiara. but I had side swept bangs in front of it, a puff behind it. and the bottom half was actually pulled into a low side pony tail then left curly. I looked for pictures on FB to share, but couldn't find a good one of the hair :(

No

Yes. Noon mass. Wiped the ash off before I got back to work though.

Alcohol Sun-Thur (bacheloretty party is during lent...have to be realistic)

Anxious. Feels like the calm before the storm.

Not too interesting. Sister/MOH and I are doing kickboxing and then she's coming over to help me with invitations and my bottle of Skinny Girl Margarita.

I'm a day late, sorry!

1. Did you celebrate Mardi Gras last night?
Went to happy hour with some work friends, nothing too exciting.

2. Did you celebrate Ash Wednesday today?
No, but don't tell Grandma I am Catholic, but accidentally scheduled a dental procedure for the end of the day, and didn't feel like going last night

3. Are you giving up anything for Lent?
I'm with Nbrodie--only drinking on the weekends. I know myself well enough to know that anything more than that is a stretch

4. What emotion would best describe how you're feeling towards wedding planning right now?
Anxious. I wish it would just get here already!

5. Any interesting plans for this weekend?
Going bridesmaid dress shopping with 5 of my 7 bridesmaids (my two sisters, FI's two sisters, and my best friend). I already went once with my sisters and picked out the line I like, and seven dresses, so each girl gets to pick their own dress. Hopefully it won't be too stressful I'm excited for them all to get together since they don't see each other very often.

6. Have you seen the trailer for the movie "Bridesmaids," due out this May?

7. Do you wanna see it?
YES! I am a total sucker for chick flicks

8. What sort of makeup are you going to have done on your wedding day?
Not sure yet...currently debating if I want to do airbrush...

I am hoping to do a loose side bun with some loose curls coming out.

Sharingourlove--I'm your twin! I'm a twin in real life too so it's funny to hear wedding twin Luckily, I don't know anyone in real life getting married on 7.30.11

We bottled our own wine, we are doing beer but I'm not sure how we are serving it, and then we are serving a signature drink, which will most likely be raspberry vodka lemonade (it's easy, pink, and vodka's our fave I've started thinking about maybe having that be the bride's drink and having a groom's drink too, but we'll see how that all works out.

12. What are your favors going to be?
I'm Italian, so we are doing the jordan almonds tied in tulle. I think the tradition is to give five almonds to represent health, wealth, happiness, fertility, and longevity.

13. Do you have a caketopper, or plan on having one? Describe!
Not yet, but probably going to go with monogram.

14. If money/seasonal flowers/allergies did not matter, what would your dream bouquet look like?
Probably some oriental lillies. Or peonies.

He went tux shopping with me last weekend.
