Advice on Sammy's in Harrisburg for Rehearsal Dinner?

Hi,

Has anyone had their rehearsal dinner at Sammy's in Harrisburg?  I just called the restaurant because I love the food and the man I spoke with (Troy) seemed a bit short with me.  Is he difficult to work with?  Also, if you did have your rehearsal dinner there what size party did you have?  He told me that if we have 30 to 35 people if there are tables left in the room downstairs he will fill them with people if he needs to.  Also, did you get any set-up time?  He said he would still be trying to have 2 seatings and we would either have to go earlier at 5:30 or 6 or later at 7:30 or 8:00.  I don't want to feel rushed, ya know!?  I'm just curious about your experience, and also the cost.  He said we pick 3 pre-selected entrees and appetizers.  Any additional information/advice you could give me would be great!

We are also looking at/meeting with Bricco and Mangia Qui, but we would love to keep the cost down by having BYOB at Sammy's (even though the downstairs room isn't that pretty...the food is AWESOME)

Thanks so much!

we had ours there at the start of May.  We had about 20 ppl and met upstairs.  All in all the food was great and the service was okay.  Troy is very short and borderline rude at times.  They served food quickly however we stayed as long as we wanted and did not feel pushed out the door.  The order was good with no mistakes and if I would have changed anything I would hae told Troy to cheer up and calm down.  Overall I would recommend.  I pushed to have upstairs bc the downstairs smelled at times however I think they fixed that after I brought it to their attention.  As far as cost I can not speak bc IL's paid for it, but it was basically the cost of the plate and some antipasta plates.  Cost savings for BYOB too.  We did baked ziti, chicken picatta, and veal parm and evryone devoured their food.
