Hair and makeup help!!!

Hi girls!

I've returned to the local board after cancelling our destination wedding when we learned my grandma was ill. We wanted to make sure the wedding was close to home so she could attend.

So, we're starting from scratch while we're two months away from our wedding date. Ack! Things are actually falling into place, but I have no idea what to do about hair and makeup. We're having an 11am Sunday ceremony, when all salons are closed. Does anyone have any suggestions? I live in Norwalk now, and the wedding is in Dobbs Ferry, so anything in between those two locations would be doable!

    I'm with durga826. I just had a free make up trial with Jill and she was wonderful. She is a bit pricey but very good at what she does.

    A lot of salons will open for you on Sunday with a bridal party of 5 or more (It's easy to get to 5 when you count - you, BMs, moms, FG).

    It's worth looking into.
     
    I used Dana Cole in Mohegan, so it's a bit far for you. But you might want to look into it if there is a salon that you like in the area. They might charge a bit more than their Saturday prices, but it would likely be less than getting a private artist to come to you.

    I used Christine Basso for makeup and Kristin from Studio One in New Paltz for hair. Both traveled to me, and both were great!

    One caveat -- Kristin is great, but the other stylists she brought with her to do my BMs were not nearly as talented as she is. So if you only have a few people to do (she did 3 herself on my wedding day), I'd recommend Kristin. More than that, not so much.
