how much are you paying for tuxes...???

hi girls... so we went w/ men's wearhouse for the groomsmen tuxes & are getting the tuxes for $180... i didn't think that was high, but i didn't really shop around either.  it was just the most convenient place for us to go.  anyways, i guess a couple of FI's groomsmen are saying that's expensive... i feel bad, but in all honesty, my girls are paying so much more for everything they are spending $$ on (dress, alterations, hair, makeup, shoes, etc!!!) and they haven't complained at all!!  all the groomsmen have to pay is 180 for everything!!!   idk... just wanted to get some feedback on what you guys have been quoted... thanks :):):)

We went to Ted Barry in Pompano and are getting tuxes for $129, including an upgraded shirt, but no shoes because we're buying shoes for them. I think shoes would bring it up to $139.

Melissa: I personally had no problem with them when I was dealing with them before the wedding. But my husband said that they gave him two different size shoes and his shirt was way too big. They gave him the right size shoes (the day before the wedding) but for some reason never fixed the shirt. He had to keep his jacket on all night because of his shirt. I did not go with him when he went to try it on. I'm wishing I had if I would of known this. I didn't find out about the shirt until our wedding reception when my DH told me. In the end he didn't look bad but I was pissed about how thoughtless MW was about the fit. They also messed up my father's shoes. He had to wear shoes that were 2-3 sizes too small. So needless to say I do not recommend Men's Weaehouse. Hope this helps out someone. For those of you who are using them, make sure you go with your FI's for that final fitting and demand it be fixed.

My FI was in 2 weddings a couple months ago and the tux was huge on him in one and the other was fine...personally I wouldn't use them but if you do I suggest you go to the fitting because guys will accept anything they don't really know any better.

Ted Barry is a small store and they have the equipment there to do alterations and such, if it's needed. They say that they have everyone try everything on 2-3 days before the wedding and they make changes as appropriate. We felt VERY comfortable with them and they were the cheapest by far!

oh man!! I am freaking out now! We are using Men's Wearhouse too! Our guys are paying around $140. David's Bridal had a coupon in their catalog that you would get $40 off each tux if you had at least 5 or 6 in your wedding party. After hearing all of this, I will definitely be going with FI and my dad next Thursday when the tuxes come in! I want to make sure they are correct.

Fi went with his brother (BM) to MW and they quoted him about $165 for the cheapest suit. They went to Mr Tux in Davie and decided on that place since all they have to pay is $95 with shoes included. We don't really have a bridal party (just BM & Ring Boy for guys side) so my Dad, FFIL, & FI's other brother are also renting. FI upgraded his suit so it'll be different then everyone else's and since we have 5 rentals he's getting his free. HTH

We're also using MW. They are robbers though...double check everything you pay for. I made the mistake of just asking questions & not really double checking the receipt. For $180 they were sneaking in an extra white shirt & socks. The guys said it was just in case they wanted to change.  I told him to take that off. I also told them to take off the shoes & I'm letting the guys where their own black shoes so the price went down to about $100.00

I'm going back this weekend to remove the cufflinks as well since we got their own as groomsmen gifts.
