5.What is your favorite thing to do with FI that other people wouldn't expect? (No "going to the movies", but something off the wall! We all have something ) we love mini-golf...and often make bets on who wins...that reminds me, he owes me!

1.What is/was your wedding date? Is there a reason you chose that date?
Our wedding date is October 2. We chose that date because FI really wanted an October wedding, and our original date that we wanted October 9 was booked (which actually led to us getting 10% off our final bill, but that's another story!); FI asked if we could do October 2 so he could walk around saying "ten to ten". I sighed and agreed

2. What is the oddest thing in your purse right now?
Well, I have a medical magnet (for my Spinal Stimulator, LOL), TWO cameras (why two, I don't know), and a huge handful of Chik-Fil-A mints.

3.Where are you having your reception (or the top runner if you haven't chosen a place yet)? What is/was your favorite thing about that place?
Executive Banquet in Newark. We loved the simplicity of the place, how their coordinator will bend over backwards to help you with anything, the amount of stuff included, and the pricing!

4.Target, Wal-Mart, or K-mart (cmon, you know you have a favorite of the bargain stores!)? Why is that one your place to shop?
I LOVE Target, and cannot wait until the one in the mall opens. I also shop at Wal-Mart; both Target and Wal-Mart have cute plus size clothes that don't cost an arm and a leg. But my favorite is Target, hands down (they also have an awesome baby section that helps to calm the baby urge I get often, LOL).

We both are involved in Boy Scouts, which people wouldn't expect from me (I was a Women Studies major in college, hellllooooo). We also LOVE to bake, which most people don't think fits FI; he's a pretty burly/camping/loves to get dirty kind of guy, but is a baking efficianado. Finally, we both love going to Cabela's. Yup, the camping/hunting store; and our next project to tackle is shooting (once the wedding's over!).

6. What was your favorite Holloween costume when you were a kid (or adult!)?
My mom had the flower girl dress from her wedding in our costume box, and my sister and I fought every year over who got to wear it. We wore it out! I also loved to be the Pepsi can; my dad made the costume out of one of those big barrels, and everyone thought it was so cool.

7.When did you know FI/DH was "the one"?
There were two times. The first was about 8 weeks after we started dating. My pastor had counseled me to make faith a priority in our relationship, and not just in my life. I told FI, who was a member of a church but didn't attend, he needed to be going to church regularly; I didn't care if it was at his church, at my church, or at the baptist church down the street (we are Lutheran). He promptly joined my church, signed up to be a youth advisor with me, started teaching the HS boys sunday school class (woodworking with Bible study), and now we both make our faith a priority every day of our life. When he did that, for me, I knew he was the one.
When my grandpa died. We had been dating about 4 months, and FI was not only there for me, but for my family, the entire time. It just confirmed what I already knew about him and us

8. What are you most excited about the wedding for? What is your favorite elaborate thing from the wedding, and your favorite simple thing from the wedding (like, what will make everyone or you go oooh ahhh, and what will probably go unnoticed but makes you smile when you think about it?)
Because faith is so important to us, we both are looking forward to the ceremony. To us, that IS the wedding. I cannot wait to have our service (we are doing a regular service with the wedding portion in the middle).
For the extravagant part, I would say it's a tie between the cake and the candy buffett; I know our guests are going to love that!
For the simple part, it's having my grandpa and his grandparents who have passed away remembered. They were such an important part of our lives, and the little, subtle ways we are going to include them helps us feel like they are there.

9.How many pillows do you have in your bed on any given night ('fess up, who's a pillow whore?!)
I am The Pillow Whore of all Pillow Whores. I have 3 pillows and 1 body pillow that I sleep with. FI, on the other hand, has one flat pillow.

10. Favorite Registry Item?
It's a tie: my (pink) KitchenAid Mixer (which I have been assured I am getting by multiple people), the Kuerig coffee maker, and the Dyson Ball Vacuum (which I probably won't get, but I can dream hard, can't I?).

If y'all want to do this every week, we can figure out a way! I like polls, I like finish the sentences, I like telling what is going on this weekend in our lives, I like whats for dinner, I like siggy challenges; I am pretty much game for anything. If you want to do something once a week, we can do that; if you want to do something different on M, T, W, Th, F we can do that too. If you want to trade off on who asks, I am all for that (gives some fresh input!), or you can always PM me your ideas and I can run the NWR questions of the day. Whatever everyone is game for, I am down with, but we gotta have a decent turnout!

11/5/11. I just like the way it looks. It was 10/1/11 but the venue we are leaning towards is booked that day.

2. What is the oddest thing in your purse right now? A bright aqua bandana. I have no idea why. I have one of those gigantic purses and it always amazes me what I find in there

3.Where are you having your reception (or the top runner if you haven't chosen a place yet)? What is/was your favorite thing about that place? So far, Vandiver Inn in Havre de Grace, MD is our top runner. Hopefully we are sending in the contract tomorrow!

We love to go browsing and shopping at Home Depot and Lowe's. We can spend an entire afternoon planning our dream home.

A pirate. I love the clinking sounds it makes when walking around.

Honestly, our first real date together. He traveled 2 hours to see me and we spent the whole day together. By that evening my cheeks hurt so much from smiling the whole time.

We are so early in the planning process I have no idea yet! I'm just so excited to have all of our friends together and celebrate.

1.What is/was your wedding date? Is there a reason you chose that date?
10-2-10. We got engaged in July 2009 and knew we wanted at least a year to plan. At the time, FI was living in MD and I was still in PA trying to find a job so I could move. Not knowing how long that would take, we wanted a lot of time. On top of that, neither of us wanted a summer wedding. We settled on 10/2 because the next day will mark 5 years since the passing of FIs mother, and we thought it would be wonderful for all of the family to be together to celebrate something happy.

2. What is the oddest thing in your purse right now?
There's probably nothing really odd. I switch purses/bags so often that it tends to stay pretty basic.

3.Where are you having your reception (or the top runner if you haven't chosen a place yet)? What is/was your favorite thing about that place?
Memorial Hall @ Talleyville Fire Co. on 202 in north Wilmington. Nothing in particular is that special about it, but we have a connection there allowing us to get a great deal.

Love, love, love Target! They have everything, especially now that they have groceries!

We love going shopping together. His family is always shocked to hear when we have one of our trips to the outlets because he never buys clothes. For some reason when we go shopping together he ends up buying more than me!

6. What was your favorite Holloween costume when you were a kid (or adult!)?
We had THE coolest blue bridesmaids dress, from who knows where. My mom actually altered it so that it would be shorter and fit us girls a little more closely. We paired it with a matching blue birdcage type veil attached to a hat and between my sisters and I, I think it was worn just about every Halloween.

7.When did you know FI/DH was "the one"?
This is a tough one. I feel like I just always knew. We had known each other since freshman year of college, but never really every talked. There was definitely always something there though, at least I always imagined so. 10 years later I sent him a message on Facebook, he responded, and from his response I just knew. It also confirmed to me that I was just making it up in my head

I'm really just excited for our families to be together and for everyone to have a good time. Elaborate thing...the photo booth. Most of the people I've told about it haven't been to a wedding yet that's had one. Simple thing...seeing FIs face when I walk down the aisle.

We've each got two. However, I only use my second one as I'm laying in bed falling asleep to the tv. Then it goes on the floor. FI keeps the second pillow to hug while he sleeps.

October 1, 2011 - We love the fall!

I guess that would be my multi-vitamins.

Our reception is at the Delaware City Fire Hall. We love it because it can be decorated any way we want to. Plus, its big enough for our guest list.

I love both Target and Wal-Mart for different things, but I probably favor Target.

We love to go to Minor League Baseball games. We've been all over... Wilmington, Camden, Lakewood, Reading, Hickory, Lancaster, etc. It's always a great time!

My FI and I dressed up as Dan and Roseanne Connor last year. It was awesome!

About two years ago or so. It just felt right. He loves me no matter what. What more could a girl ask for?!?!

I am most excited about having all of our friends and family in one place at one time. My favorite elaborate thing would be the ice cream sundae bar. I love ice cream more than cake! My favorite simple thing would be the basket of odds and ends that I am putting in each of the bathrooms. You never know what you may need the day of your wedding. I want to be prepared.

There are 4, but I usually only use one when I sleep. The FI gets the rest!

My FI loves the charcoal grill. I love the wall decor (frames, pictures, artwork)!

December 10, 2011. FI and I chose this because we both love the christmas holiday... and we didn't want our date too close to Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Hmm... I would have to say it would be the diaper rash cream for my daughter.

Our reception is being held at the North East River Yacht Club. I looooovvvveee the view from where everyone will be eating... And right around when it'll be time for our first dance, it'll be sunset over the water on the bay...&hearts;

We love to hang out at our local Moose lodge. We're both members and I love to hang out with all of the older (and the newer, younger) crowd.

When I was 5, my mom thought it would be cool if i was the Ziploc Finger Man. I looked like a giant condom. Yup. She had to make me a sign to carry around because everyone had to ask me what the heck I was!

7.When did you know FI/DH was "the one"? Shortly after I met him. We've been friends for 6 years now... and he's been there for me through every single stinking thing. But the day he helped me get away from a toxic ex... he held my hand, hugged me for a long time, let me cry on his shoulder and told me I was strong and that he cared about me more than anything... I fell so hard.

Most excited? Being his wife! Favorite elaborate thing... our invites. And my dress. I just picked it up today. &hearts; Favorite simple thing? My shoes. They're gonna be red... with 'I DO' in crystals underneath. No one will see it, but I'll know it's there.

1.What is/was your wedding date? Is there a reason you chose that date? Our date is 9/3/11. We started with 6/25/11 because it would have been 2 years exactly after we got engaged but everything was booked (darn you 6/25/11 brides). Now I am excited b/c it is a holiday weekend and we have out of towners

2. What is the oddest thing in your purse right now?Nothing crazy so maybe my supplements and Tide to Go stick

3.Where are you having your reception (or the top runner if you haven't chosen a place yet)? What is/was your favorite thing about that place? As most of you know, i never found the place that I imagined. But Mendenhall is close to the church and has alot of the features that we wanted. I guess my fav item is the ornate detail and covered atruim. For the overall-I love that the hotel rooms are not connected but within walking distance.

4.Target, Wal-Mart, or K-mart (cmon, you know you have a favorite of the bargain stores!)? Why is that one your place to shop? Haven't been to any of those in awhile! But Walmart has the cases of water that I like so let's say Walmart.

) Hmm...this is a tough one! I guess house hunting. It is a hobby of mine. Prob not his fav though. Mutually---we LOVE to go exploring on our travels

6. What was your favorite Holloween costume when you were a kid (or adult!)? Lara Croft a few years ago. Yes...I rocked the metallic silver unitard and long braided ponytail!

7.When did you know FI/DH was "the one"?Several times!!! Everytime that he balances me out and is my rock. We are opposites in most ways. First was the first time we met after not seeing each other in years.

Very excited over finding THE dress. It will most likely be the most eleborate too. I tend to be over the top

1.What is/was your wedding date? Is there a reason you chose that date?
6/18/11 - I really wanted a June outdoor wedding. Was set on 6/11/11 but that is going to be my brother's high school graduation date, so we went with the following weekend.

2. What is the oddest thing in your purse right now?
Hmm, let me look... a placecard from my FI's cousin's wedding we attended a few weeks back. The wedding was at Belhurst Castle in Geneva, NY - wine themed wedding so the placedcard is inserted into a cork. Beautiful wedding!

3.Where are you having your reception (or the top runner if you haven't chosen a place yet)? What is/was your favorite thing about that place?
Heritage Shores Golf Club in Bridgeville, DE, about 1/2 an hour past Dover. The clubhouse itself is HUGE, i love the stairs leading down to the gazebo that is on the 18th hole where we will have our ceremony.

Watching Baseball tonight. I love love love sports... and probably know just as much about them as he does. That's our bonding time.

6. What was your favorite Holloween costume when you were a kid (or adult!)?
I was Sookie Stackhouse last year when we went out for Halloween. That was fun!

7.When did you know FI/DH was "the one"?
Well that's a good question... we were high school sweethearts, and this December we will have been together for 8 years. We had our daughter 5 years ago this month, so somewhere in between the high school drama, him moving away for college but then returning a year later, my 6 years of college to get my Master's degree, giving birth to our beautiful daughter, moving in together.. somewhere in there we just knew!!

8. What are you most excited about the wedding for? What is your favorite elaborate thing from the wedding, and your favorite simple thing from the wedding (like, what will make everyone or you go oooh ahhh, and what will probably go unnoticed but makes you smile when you think about it?)
My family & friends being together to celebrate us is the most exciting. My FI's step father is very ill with terminal cancer, he's a fighter - and he is also a Reverand. I have all the faith in the world that he will be there to marry us on our special day, so if he makes it until then that will be all we need.
---I think the Photo booth will be the most fun and exciting thing. As far as the little things - probably these little paper balls I am making and stringing on garland to go on the side of our placecard table... no one will probably notice but they look so cute!

A forturne from a fortune cookie that I hope comes true! "You will be unusually successful in business" lol.. I'm slightly superstitious. I truly believe that if you don't eat all of the fortune cookie then the fortune won't come true.. ?? yeah I don't know why.. lol

Goodstay House and Gardens. The place is so charming yet elegant and the full service is wonderful! Plus they get you a room at Hotel DuPont

Wal-Mart is closer to me I like them for beauty products but LOVE Target for their bathing suits!

My FI and I surf. It's the best feeling in the world. We also like doing spontaneous things! For my bday this past weekend we set up a tent in our backyard and camped. Fire and all. It was wonderful! lol We aren't the "go out to the bars and get drunk" kind of people.

I was a "gold digger" a few years ago. That costume was a hit! It was a gold mini dress with a gold miners hat and gold shovels attached to the dress. hahaha. ps. I'm not really a gold digger! lol

The fact that I love him more everyday was a clue. When we made it past the 1 1/2 year mark and I wasn't bored with him I knew. I've had 3 serious relationships all ending around a year and a half. I miss him when he's gone and when I look at him I see the rest of my life. It's such an amazing feeling!! I never thought it was possible.

For my family to be together. They live in Florida and have never been up here to visit (they don't have alot of money) so I'm excited for them to see where I live. anddddd I'm so excited to wear my dress!!! And I can't wait to be "officially Jennifer Cordrey" I couldn't be marrying a better man and marrying into the best family.

I think we should definately do this more often! Once a week I think is good. I think it's wonderful to have local brides sticking together and bouncing ideas off of each other. Having something like this to get to know one another makes this experience much more rewarding

we originally were going for this sept but i couldn't find a venue i liked in time, then i wanted next june, but the venue i did love couldn't be booked until sept 2011 and when i saw that 9.10.11 was a saturday i had to have it!

DE Museum of natural history...i'm a zookeeper so the venue fits me really well and the FI & I wanted someplace different...i looked at 23 other options and while some of the gardens were beautiful (we are having an outdoor ceremony) the museum was the only place that really got me excited!

Hi everyone! I'm new here on theknot.

My wedding date is June 4, 2011. We chose this date because it was my grandfather's birthday and we were very close until he passed away 4 years ago

2. What is the oddest thing in your purse right now?

Probably my benadryl anti-itch spray. My mom washed my clothes in fabric softener that I am allergic too and I have been so itchy lol

My reception is going to be at the MOT Senior Center in Middletown. I love how it has so much potential for decorating.

My FI and I love to travel so we take trips a lot.

This may sound cheesy but I would say on our first date. He took me to a Philies game and I was so comfortable around him which was different for me.

I'm most excited about being able to move in with him. My mom is a definite momzilla and I just can't wait to get away from her! My wedding is going to be pretty simple because we don't really have a big budget to work with but I think my guest will be excited about the photo booth and I really love my dress so I think that might be my simple thing. I just can't wait to be sooo happy!

I actually only have 1. I hate pillows but I love blankets!

I honestly can't think of anything. We don't do anything strange! We watch Top Chef, go to happy hour and go to the beach...

I was a Spanish dancer when I was 9. Then I was batgirl when I was 21.

Almost immediately. We said "I love you" a week in.

I'm really excited about being announced to the reception as Mr. and Mrs. We don't have a whole lot of elaborate things at the wedding, but I really like our signature cocktails. My favorite simple thing will probably be cocktail napkins with love quotes from movies on them.

I think we have 5 or six, though a few normally get knocked off.
