Secrets Resorts vs. Couples Resorts

We are debating Secrets in Jamaica vs. Couples resorts in Jamaica.  Anyone have any feedback??

    Secrets is new ...Couples older.  Secrets has a younger crowd, Couples a bigger repeat, a little older too.

    I have no info on Secrets...but my fiance and I stayed at Couples Negril in Jamaica several years ago and had a fabulous experience.  It was beyond our expectations and I would highly recommend it!

    ok, also just looked and saw in my booklet that 2 of the Couples resorts offer nude beaches.  Both in the Ocho Rios area.  Secrets does not.  Secrets also has jacuzzi's in every room.  Hmmm we are debating between Secrets and Sandals now.....tough choices.

    They both look sooo nice its hard.  We were looking at the Couples Swept Away not Ocho Rios. 


    Lauren-Secrets has Jacuzzi tubs or like an actual jacuzzi outside the room??

    We booked Couples San Souchi and I am VERY happy with our decision.

    I felt like we were getting more bang for our buck. It seemed like there was a lot more included in the AI package as far as watersports, day trips, ect.

    Look on Trip Advisor and Expedia for reviews. They are really helpful and helped me make the final decision.

    From what I’ve heard the new Secrets in Jamaica  are not open yet, but from what I heard about the other secrets resorts, they are supposed to be awesome! I am a big fan of Secrets and have been to their resorts in Mexico. The staff and service always make me feel at home and the food is some of the best I’ve tasted at any AI.     We're having the same problem with deciding between Secrets and Couples Swept-Away in Jamaica.  Both will be about the same price with Couples having a discount right now.  I like the look of the room better at Couples (not so hotel-looking) and the sound of a seven-mile beach sounds great.  Plus, I think they may offer more activites for their bucks?  However, the Secrets resorts have a jazcuzzi in the bathroom and a tub out on the balcony.

    Does anyone know how private Secrets feels versus Couples Swept-Away?  I know they're just opening up soon, so it's hard to say, I suppose.  How about food there versus couples?

    They both offer champange and massages for their honeymoon package (which is included with the room), secrets offers a little more such as a private dinner, but with couples we'll be getting $500 resort credit, so we could just use that on additional spa things and private dinner, etc . . . .  I'm so conflicted about choosing!!
