Budget photographer in FW area

I posted this on another board and was directed here for more help.

My fiance and I are looking for a photographer for our October 2013 wedding. The kicker is we need to spend $200 or less on it. Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Craigslist. There was actually a post on the photography board of a guy offering free photography to rebuild his portfolio that was destroyed in a fire but I don't know if it's still there (or if it's legit). $200 is not a realistic budget. It's more like what you would pay a friend as a tip who was doing you a favor. A close friend.

We're using Wishful Memories (Melissa Hammerle). She's a friend of a bridesmaid (who is also usin her for her wedding). She's more than $200, but way less than any other photographer I've found.

I agree. We were on a SUPER tight budget for our ceremony musician, and we had a great band lined up for the reception, but we didn't really want them to do the ceremony. So we just put an ad on Craigslist and said, this is what we want, this many hours, and this is what we can pay. And we got probably 20 responses, and we ended up so happy with him. Craigslist is probably your best bet.

You may want to think about putting up a sign at some of the colleges that offer photography degrees or courses.

Were thinking about Knight Photography... but they are over $200... thats quite a budget.
