Oh dear...

So..
We're getting married on November 6th, if everything works out...
As of right now, we have no officiant. Ours has cancelled, and the person she recommended to fill in for her is on holiday therefore unavailable.
I'm wondering if anyone in the Toronto area can refer us to anyone who might be able to help us out?
Thanks so much

    Oh no!

Does your contract with this officiant mention anything about cancellations? Perhaps you could argue that it's her responsibility to find you someone. (That's kind of crappy if she just leaves you high and dry.

I don't have personal experience with officiants as we were married by my priest, but I found this document on U of T's website that lists a few officiants:

The only other one I've seen personally is Jeremy Citron, but he's very popular so I'm not sure if he'd be avialable on such short notice:

Oh, another option would be to check out All Seasons Weddings, I think other knotties on this board have used them:

All Seasons weddings is very popular. I know quite a few people whio have used them and I probably will too. They have tons of officiants so there should be no problem finding someone for you.

Sorry to hear about your's bailing :(

We used Jim Murphy - he's out in Newmarket but travels (we got married in Toronto). We loved him; super nice, great ceremony and I would recommend him to anyone!

I second the recco of All Season Weddings, they were super easy to work with , our officiant was great and they have a ton of people on staff so I'm sure they'll be able to help you out. Good luck!

Ive gotten in touch with All Season Weddings- a friend ended up referring us to someone who actually works with them, and although he's unavailable, he's pointed us in the direction to someone who he thinks would be great for us.
    Thanks for the posts!
