Processional/my entrance song

I really want to walk down the aisle to "Everything" by Lifehouse. I've thought about having it in an instrumental version so there's no awkward cut-off, but the words are what make the song special to me. I think the song is long enough to have the BMs and myself walk to it, but would it be weird to not have a seperate song for my walk down the aisle? What do you guys think/recommend?

Re: Processional/my entrance song

  • As a quick side note, my alternative for the processional would be an instrumental of the Foo Fighters' "Everlong".
  • I just attended a wedding Saturday where the bride walked down to the same song as the bridal party.  We knew she was coming because her parents and the groom's parents stood up and turned so we all knew to do the same (also it's just kind of logical after all the BMs are done walking up and there is a pause).  I didn't mind it or find it weird, but I'm not really that detail-oriented or picky.
  • I only had one attendant. We each walked in to the same song; an acoustic guitar version of "Canon in D."

  • If this is the song you want to walk down to, which I can REALLY understand (beautiful song and lyrics), I dont see how it would be "weird" walking down to the same song as the BM. I would do a small pause before walking down so it is obvious that it is your turn.

Unless you cut off the song at 3:44, that doesnt sound like an awkward cut off for me, considering I've never heard the song before now. Or that could even be the point where you start walking. The whole part after 3:44 is different from the rest of the song, and the lyrics "Cause your all that I want, Your all that I need. Your everything." seems like a perfect introduction for you! Smile

  • Thanks for help guys! Jennifer404, that is actually where I was thinking about cutting off, at 3:44. I guess it really kind of depends on how long I have to walk to get to the alter, haha.
