QUESTION ABOUT SEATING CARDS

We are going to be working on our seating cards this week.  We are going to do Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith on one card if both are coming to the wedding.  How should I do my cousin's seating card.  We are not real close with my Mom's family but we invited most of  them.  He had a commitment ceremony a couple of years ago.  He responded as follows:  Smith/Anderson.  Should we do Mr. Robert Smith and Mr. Michael Anderson or should we do it the way he filled out the response card which was Smith/Anderson?  Any suggestions would be great.

I would put the names they go by.  for example if they go by Mr and Mr Smith-Anderson then that should be and the card.  If you do not know, try to find out somehow.  (asking them, or another family member, fb, etc)

That being said, if you cannot find out then do as it says on the reply card.

Just a thought, do your seating cards need to indicate entree selection?  If so, you may want to consider 1 per guest to make it easier for the servers.

As for your question, I'd address your cousin's card as you have listed.  I'd list your cousin's name first and then his partners.

I'd be sure to include the "and" between their names; as it indicats marriage and if they did a commitment ceremony, that's the next closest thing if their state doesn't allow them to marry (yet)

Same as HZ. We had a similar situation where my DH's cousins were married but the wife kept her maiden name so the escort card looked like this:

Mr. Thomas Jefferson and Mrs. Christina Aguilera

We did this for our friends who brought a sig other, as well.  Guests that brought a date that we didn't know each got their own escort card.

I don't have the answer for you but did you know that your FI shares the same name as the singer from the 80s group The Cure?
