My weekend was lazy.  I cleaned, neglected laundry (ugh), and put stickers on our favor bags.  Our 50% deposit at the venue is due tomorrow, so I sent that out as well. I have never written a check for so much money.

My shower is this coming weekend, I'm so excited!

    I don't post on here often, but I figured I would join in on the fun :)

    Our weekend was great, but busy (I just started working 2nd job. Ugh) I was kicking myself for not having scheduled our epics for this weekend... all that snow would have been GORGEOUS photo ops... any suggestions for late winter/early spring pics that aren't totally drab and ugly and depressing? lol

    Anyways, we went to see 'The Vow' this weekend. I know what you're thinking... however, my super-macho, too cool for love hubby actually really liked it. He said it was the best chick flick he has ever seen, and that he almost teared up (that NEVER happens!). It prompted him to say some other really sweet things too, just what I needed to hear, so I suggest you all make a date of it! The ending certainly wasn't what we were expecting.

    My parents are coming into town next weekend (from VA) to finalize a lot of wedding details, so it will be a BUSY one.

    Hi All!

    FI and I had a hot date to the laundromat this weekend, lol. Our washer broke and then FI put all of the way too wet clothes in the dryer and that broke as well, Seriously?!? Well, thankful for 4 year warranties - they are coming to fix both on Thursday... and the laundromat was actually fun :)

    MD - Yay for your shower! We have a His/Hers shower on 3/4 and then my sister is having my shower on  3/31... I'm really excited for both of them!

    Skins - Going to see The Vow with my good friend this afternoon after work! I love Rachel McAdams. And I need a dose of a good chick flick too :)

    md- yay for your shower! Enjoy every minute of it :)

    skins- what about the strip district? I think that's a cool place for pics no matter what time of year.

    lindsay- that stinks! I'm baffled that you enjoyed the laundromat lol.

    We did a few wedding things- I punched out all 800 stickers to go on the wrappers of caramels we're making for favors. And I embossed our invite envelopes with our return address stamp- they turned out soo cute!

    Oh I did not accomplish nearly enough this weekend...

    I managed to get 3 more pages of the scrapbook done, and I think I now have all the pictures and such that I need. So the rest will hopefully go pretty quickly.

    I figured out the pictures I want to use for the table numbers, and managed to cut 10 of them (2 I need to print still). I tried to find picture frames for the candy buffet and guest book table, but didn't find anything I liked. So I'm going to big lots, finding some cheap frames, then painting them myself tonight hopefully. I need to get spray paint for the card box anyways (its a suitecase that I'm hanging little wooden letters from that says "Cards"- just need to paint those letters).

    I did get a couple of work outs in, grocery shopped and returned some items to Target. I cleaned the apartment (although its already messy again) and did a load of laundry (still piles of it).

    I am really hoping to get more done next weekend. Part of the problem is my FI is no longer in busy season and is home on the weekends. Not much gets accomplished with him around since he wants to watch movies, go to the park, etc. Which is fun, but I need to get stuff done.

    It was a wedding kind of weekend for us! Went and viewed a reception hall, got approved for our church the date we wanted for the ceremony, and watched Bride Friday on TLC-Say Yes to the Dress and Four Weddings :) Saturday we went to dinner and saw The Vow.. what a great fiance.. the guy at the movie theater felt bad and asked him if I was dragging him to the movie, so he charged us the senior citizen price instead of the regular adult price. And on Sunday we went to an Open House for a reception Venue and finally decided the venue from Friday will be our reception venue for our May 2013 wedding :) We have 1 thing figured out and will have another once we send the deposit for the reception. Excitied for you all as your days get closer!!

    This weekend was the first time I have had fun planning our wedding.   We visited a venue on Saturday and we are both positive it is the one.  Now all we have to do is find a ceremony place since the venue does not allow them.  Kind of a bummer, but I'll make it work.  With the venue decided on, everything (idea wise) just came naturally and everything we had wanted will fit in.  We have an appt this Saturday to go over and finalize the contract for the reception and I actually can't wait. 
    Everyones else's weekends sounded pretty packed!  Gets me excited to see what I have to look forward to.  Laughing
