MANDALAY BAY BRIDES RESPOND PLEASE

Ladies,

My FH and I have decided to marry at the chapel at Mandalay Bay. I am asking for feedback on your experience with them and their coordinators.

Also, I am plannng to have a sit down dinner for my guest who attend. I would love to know of any restaurants that are reasonable priced and delicious.

We are flying out to Vegas to check everything out in November.

Thank You.

Yalonda

I don't have any wisdom on Mandalay Bay. But, as far as your reception, check out the "wedding porn" sticky at the top of the LV board. You can see all of the various venues different brides have used.

Also, you can check out www.opentable.com. They have a group dining section for Las Vegas. It shows which restaurants have private rooms, contact information, ect.

Typically when this question is asked, you can get better help if you give us an idea of guest count, budget, vision, etc.

    HTH!

I haven't had my wedding there yet, getting married in January, but I can tell you my experience with the coordinators has been very good. My coordinator is Mischelle and she has always been very easy to get hold of and answers all my questions.

    So far so good. :o)

    This.
Our suggestions will be semi-useless unless we know what your working with. how many people, what kind of food you like/hate, etc. Do you want to stay close to MB or are you okay going further down the strip/off the strip?

My guest count will be about 35 ppl. Want a restaurant that serves a little of everything (steak, chicken, seafood). My budget will be about 1500.00 for food and beverage. Don't mind going off MB property to eat if the food is good and the price is right.

BTW, hstaples4, Mischelle contacted me today. I was impressed after just leaving a message yesterday. Glad to hear that your planning has been smooth so far. Keep me posted if you don't mind. Laughing

With that amount, your looking at something that is between $30-$35pp before tax & tip.
Inside MB, I can think of Border Grill and RedWhiteand Blue that fits in that $$. Hussongs in Mandalay Place also could work. La Salsa Cantina next to MGM & the MnM factory has menue w/i you budget. Firefly on Paradise is close.
You could also look into doing a buffet, many of them have private dining areas.
Another option, if your already planning on staying in one of the larger suites, would to have an in-suite reception and have catering brought in from some like Masterpiece Cuise or Jasons Deli

I also am getting married at MB.  My wedding is in December.  My coordinator is Aleena.  Honestly I haven't had a lot of questions yet but I know I will as the time gets closer.  So far she has been great.  We just showed up a couple times and she worked with us.
As far as resturants we are having a lunch reception at Maggiano's. They are on the other side of the strip.  It is mostly itilian food but so good.  I also checked out some of the resturants in MB and I was condsidering Border Grill but we didn't go with them.  We ate there and the food was good; mexican food though. Just a couple of thoughts.  I hope it helps!
Until the first full year of being one! Anniversary

For that price range I think Border Grill would be the best on-site option.  Whatever you look at, don't forget to factor in the 20% service charge (tip) any place will add as well as the 8% sales tax.

Border grill will charge you 2240.00 for that many people plus 20% & tax. You only get the room for 2 hours which I thought was to rushed! I think maggianos would be a better choice because you get 4 hours for your money. That's why I changed from border grill to maggianos! But I am getting married at Mandalay bay and my coordinator is Aleena! She is awesome and always emails me back asap! Good luck!

Maggiano's is going to be way over her budget unless she has her reception by 2pm (not sure if that's start by 2 or end by 2), in which case she could do the lunch for $24.95 pp (plus tax plus tip $33). Their lowest evening package starts at $41.95 (plus tax, plus tip is about $55pp). And the prices don't include any alcohol.

I am getting married at Mandalay Bay in a few weeks.  My coordinator is Aleena and she has been great to work with!  I have emailed her with questions many, many times and she always responds within a few hours.  Even though we haven't had our wedding yet, I would definately recommend MB based on the service we have received so far.

Ya. This is true but border grill is way over. At least Magiannos you have the option of doing something earlier for less $ and the food is awesome. It's something to look into it.

My wedding is in June and we are having our reception at RiRa. The menu is 35.00 a person and you can have a cake and decorate tables. It's not too facy but we are beer drinkers! Also we like it's more of a relaxed environment.
    Soon to be Mrs. Cano
