Timothy Whaley - Greg

We have signed a contract with Timothy Whaley for photography.  They reccomended Greg as our photographer?. Has anyone worked with him?  They gave me his personal email, I sent him an email just asking how far in advance we should meet and if he would need anything from us.  He emailed back a week later, from his blackberry, and said he would call that weekend.  Come on, you have a blackberry and it takes you a week to answer an email???  Well, two weeks later, still haven't heard from him.  I emailed TW and Greg yesterday, and TW is looking into Greg's bad communication skills, but asked if I would still consider using him.  Thoughts?

    Hmmmm........... Why did they suggest Greg in particular? I had an issue with communication with my previous photographer, and needless to say we aren't using him anymore. If he is talented, I would consider using him if he can improve his communication skills. If not, then you need to find someone who is willing to talk to you on a normal basis, not excessively.

    I used Bill for my wedding last Saturday and he was AWESOME!  He responded to my e-mails right away and was truly awesome.  See if perhaps you can switch to him.

    We are using Tim and he was GREAT when we meet with him. Very quick to respond. You can tell them you want a different photog and they will switch. That is part of their great speal!

    If your first impression is bad you will probably let it carry through and WHY deal with it. They have enough photogs I would tell them that after he has handeled this you are not comfortable and would like to switch!

    I'm using Harry.  I received his email from the receptionist and before I could even fire off my first communication to him I saw that he had emailed me first.  I met with him a week later and he was super nice.

    Thanks girls!  Tim Whaley called me himself to apologize, and they are reccomending someone new.  I really appreciate how well they've dealt with this!  Way to go TW!

    Glad to hear it worked out for you. I had a little hiccup at the beginning and they handeled it VERY well. I have been impressed so far! If you want PM me and I will send you the link and ID to see our e-pics from a few weeks ago so you can see some VERY recent work of theirs!
