Cupcakes

I wanted to have flower centerpieces on each table during the reception but I also wanted cupcakes for the guests' dessert. I have seen cupcake stands but i didn't want those on everytable nor did i want everyone having to get up to get a cupcake from one large cupcake tower. I saw this idea online and wanted some opinions. It looks like a floral arrangement but made of cupcakes! Does this seem too tacky or cheap? Its super easy to make (thats what they say online anyway) plus its inexpensive. If i were to do it I would use light pale cream and pink colors instead to match my wedding.

that's a very creative idea!  i really like it!  i would prolly steal the idea if we were having cupcakes rather than cake.  as far as "tackyness" goes... that all depends on what u want the tone of ur wedding to me.  we may end up skipping tables and chairs at the reception, have guests bring their own lawn chairs, and set a few picnic tables in and outside of the barn. we want our tone to be party-like, fun, country, and relaxing. even if ur having a more elegant, those would be very neat.  unless ur an expert cake decorater, i would highly suggest u have somebody else make them. they will definitely take a lot of time. I like it! I agree with the previous post though about asking someone else to do it.  I think that is something you would want to do just a day or so before the wedding and I don't think you are really going to want to take the time it would take to put them together!  I don't think it is tacky at all!

I think it's a cute idea, however, it could have some problems. You'll probably have a ton leftover since there's about 12 in that bouquet and most tables sit about 8-9. Also, the decor will be less formal/elegant (but if that's NYS then that's fine too). If you are looking for a cupcake vendor I suggest Becky from Enchanted Sweets, she did the cupcakes for my wedding and they were amazing (and also very reasonably priced).

Yea i want the style to be laid back but pretty and nice but most of all i just want everyone to have fun celebrating with us! I agree, i know for sure that i'm having someone else make the cupcakes since i dont know how to make the frosting look like a rose but my mom and sister both agree that they could put it together. Directions show that all you need to do is put a styrofoam ball in the container and then attach the cupcakes to the ball by using toothpicks. Since i'm having an evening wedding they said they could easily attach the cupcakes that morning so they dont fall off while transporting them to the wedding site. Thank you guys so much! People have told me its a good idea but i couldn't tell if they were only saying it to be nice haha. thank you!!!

....as for having leftovers I'm not too worried since I have plenty of little ones coming that i'm sure they'll want more than one cupcake and they have already told me that they'll "take care of it" lol :)
