Rochester Photo Site

Hi Ladies!

Here is my dilema.  I am getting married at 5pm and the ceramony should only last about a half hour. We will be announced at 6:45/7ish, which means we don't have tons of time to take pictures.  My FI is all for us seeing eachother before the ceramony and going downtown Detroit for some really cool shots.  I'd rather not see eachother beforehand if possible.

Our reception is at La Sala at rochester & tinken so I'm thinking maybe we could swing by paint creek and downtown Rochester for a few downtown pictures.  There is also a little cigar bar next to our reception hall.  Could make for some cute pictures too.

Any suggestions, additional photo locations or should we sacrafice seeing eachother before to get some really cool downtown detroit pictures?

With that timeline, it sounds like you're going to be tight on time.  Are you having a recieving line?  Are you doing formals with family after the ceremony?  How long does it take to get from the ceremony to the reception?

I would suggest not going to downtown Detroit for pictures, only because I can't imagine driving 30 mins each way just for some pictures, BEFORE everything had happened.  For me personally, I think it would make me really nervous, and I'd also be leery of how your clothes might look for the ceremony after spending an hour in the car.

If you'd really like to do downtown pics, I'd either go downtown for e-pics, or do a TTD session after the wedding.

Downtown Rochester is super cute - stay there, and don't waste time/gas going to Detroit! [:

We are getting married at 5pm and I believe the sun sets around 7:30 so no problem there. I think I'll stick to a park and downtown Rochester since it's half way between the church and the reception venue.

I heard the same yesterday! VanHoosen and Rochester Muncipal Park. I think that's what we are going to do.
