Tagas Events

Has anyone used Tagas Events for the DJ/Video/Lighting? The packages seem good, but I'm interested to hear about people's personal experiences. Thanks!

They're quoting:

$750 basic lighting
$900 DJ
$2100 Video

Also if you have any other suggestions, that would be great!

    i recommend them for lighting but not for dj. they screwed up at my BIL's wedding and never apologized. (long story short, they double booked and realized on the day of the wedding when the caterer contacted them and asked what time they would be there. the owner was supposed to be the one doing the wedding and he is the only one they had ever met with, but he sent some other guy instead. the guy was over half an hour late and made a few mistakes with the music. he even mispronounced the B&G's last name when introducing them as husband and wife for their first dance.) the owner has made some pretty nasty comments about knot brides, and quite a few ladies on here have had negative interactions with the owner. my friend used them for her video, and it was good but $2100 seems really overpriced for the video she received.  i'm pretty sure she paid half that. i do think their uplighting always looks fabulous, though. have you contacted jay edwards to find out if he is available for dj services on your date?

    I'm thinking about using Tagas for lighting.  I booked The Pros for my photography/videography/dj.  They have a really low priced package and all my vendors recommend them.  We will see how it goes!

    thanks ladies! i'm so glad i asked. i'll definitely consider them for the lighting, but probably look into others for video/dj. appreciate it!

    That seems a little expensive for lighting to me, My DJ is throwing in dance floor lighting for free, up lights are $50 each, I'm getting 8 for $400 total, and if i want to add monogram lighting its $195. His uplighting is brand new and wireless. I'm using Darring from FunFactory.

    I went to Tagas after meeting with soundwave and they gave us a better deal.  We are getting 7 hours of music (ceremony into reception) for $900 and since its a Sunday, we are gettig 6 lights and a pin spot for the cake for free.  Our wedding is in March, so I hope we have a better experience with them then some of the reviews that I read about!!  But for al lthat for $900, we couldn't pass it up!
