Whats your Guilty pleasure: I love sitting all day Saturday, into the night, watching SVU and eating anything in the house. I rarely get to do it cause I have so much to do, but when I am able NO ONE better bother me, lol.

Funniest or fondest memory before your engagement, the engagement does not count lol: When we first met again after 18 years we were driving for some ice cream. I had been wondering for over an hour what it would be like to kiss him. When we were kids we never kissed, so I had to find out. Since I was driving, I decided to stop in the middle of the road and just kiss him. Well, when I stopped in the middle of the road he looked at me and said, " what are you doing, there isnt a stop sign." I leaned in and kissed him. He was literally speechless for about 2 minutes!!! We still laugh to this day whenever we are back home and drive down that road. He will always ask where that stop sign was, lol.
His quirkiest habit: Well, he actually pees sitting down. Strangest thing I have ever seen. He said when he learned that way he never saw a reason to stand, lol.

Are you two birds of a feather or opposite atrract? We are actually more alike than I thought. We seem to like the same things, or are at least open minded enough to try new things/watch new shows/read new books.
Do you clothes shop with him? My FH has lately been asking my opinion on everything he buys, something he never used to do. So I'm curious if its your guys too or just my guy
Posted by Getting2Vowels[/QUOTE]  Well, he clothes shops with me. Although, there is a gaming store a few shops down and he usually ends up there, lol.

Whats your Guilty pleasure: I, too, can also pass up a night out to stay in with FH. Almost. Every. Time. Funniest or fondest memory before your engagement: It was our 28363 time within 3 weeks hanging out..he hadn't mentioned anything about a relationship and I told myself if he didnt at least kiss me that night that he was going into the dreaded friend abyss. We spent the day at an amusement park and the day dragged on with nothin! I was finally convinced that he didn't want anything serious. A few days later we were eating lunch and I brought up the topic of us and why he hadn't at least kissed me. Before I could stop talking he planted one on me mid chew. Full of salad a la onions. Mmm... definitely my most memorable first kiss. His quirkiest habit: he bruhes his teeth and leaves the cold water running. I cant stand it. At least turn the knob back to hot when youre done...ugh! Are you two birds of a feather or opposite atrract? We are a little of both. We're both homebodies. He can be a very, very, huge perfectionist whereas sometimes I dont really care if the screw on the vaccum cleaner handle is loose or missing.

  • Whats your Guilty pleasure: We love going on trips...any trips. Day trips, weekend trips, week long trips, whatever. We also love spending the day in bed, epsecially on Sundays, drinking mimosas and making delicious easy food together like eggs and bacon or quesadillas :D

Funniest or fondest memory before your engagement, the engagement does not count lol: Following on the trend... I can actually think of 2 pre-dating moments I can share. First was about 2 months before we started dating. He was dating a mutual friend, and a few of us were hanging out. My best friend (who he actually took to prom lol, yeah, we all dated each other in high school!) was looking at FI and I pensively while his then girlfriend was outside. We were joking around and I think he was tickling me, and she blurted out "Why haven't you two ever gotten together?!" I blushed like crazy, since I had always had a crush on him, and we both just laughed it off...little did we know...

the second was about a week before we got together. we have movies in the park during the summer in San Francisco, and I wanted to go. I texted a bunch of friends and FI was the only one who responded, so I met him there (as NOT a date, of course!) and we ended up spending the whole movie together, drinking and making fun of it together (Breakfast Club. excellent movie.) At one point, he was laying with his head in my lap and I realized just how much I really liked him :) /long answer!!

His quirkiest habit: whenever we watch family guy (which is often ;) he sings along with the theme song, completely off key, out of time, and in a weird yoda-ish voice. I love it, and sometimes make him sing it other times haha. True love...

Are you two birds of a feather or opposite atrract? We definitely started out opposites attract. He's a hunter and a republican, a gardener and outside loving country boy. I'm the ultimate liberal then-vegetarian, city girl who hated camping because ew bugs! I think we've gotten more and more alike since we've been together, though. I even like camping! (when covered in OFF!)

Do you clothes shop with him? With him and FOR him. I started buying clothes for him for our first christmas, and I haven't stopped haha.

P.S. Shilo, I cracked up at the pee thing, and I LOVE your kiss story :)

  • Whats your Guilty pleasure:  coffee, football, mashed taters n choc NOT ALL TOGETHER lol

Funniest or fondest memory before your engagement, the engagement does not count lol: when we were talking as friends on internet he was with some other chick.  i thought dam hes a good guy why do i have douches.  lol little did i know 4 yrs later

His quirkiest habit: will step on my sentences then tells me to finish or go ahead lol drives me nuts but ooo well.  hes got others but this is what came to mind

Are you two birds of a feather or opposite atrract? certain things we are alike and other we are ying and yang

Do you clothes shop with him? no but ill let him know if i dont like something and he can wear it around his boys lol
  • Please note, I should be writing my 7th Grader's vocab  test right now. . . but this is WAY more fun. . .

Whats your Guilty pleasure: terrible TV - Toddlers in Tiaras, Honey Boo Boo, Teen Mom. . . if it's pretty much terrible, I probably love it. :)

Funniest or fondest memory before your engagement, the engagement does not count lol: I snort when I laugh super hard. I managed to hide it for nearly a month when we started dating. One night we were at his house watching SNL or some other funny show and a snort managed to sneek out. The look on his face was priceless, before he started cracking up. We both started laughing so hard that his roommate (now BM) came up from the basement to see what was going on. FH managed to stop laughing long enough to tell him that I had snorted. To this day they poke fun at me for it.

His quirkiest habit: he picks up shoes every. single. day. and cannot stand to have the laying all over by the door. .  but will leave his socks scattered around the house for me to find and pick up. (I found one in the side table drawer in the living room the other day!!)

Are you two birds of a feather or opposite atrract? : definitely birds of a feather

Do you clothes shop with him?: WITH him, no. FOR him, yes. He hates shopping, and if I hadn't bought him new clothes he'd still be wearing all his crap from college.
  • Whats your Guilty pleasure? Crappy food - chocolate, candy, chips, etc. Bad bad bad. Sometimes FI and I take Sundays for ourselves, and literally do nothing all day (which is amazing, BTW). We'll make an OK breakfast and lunch, but then snack all afternoon in front of the TV and skip dinner. I love it! But it's sooo bad. Luckily, this only happens once every few months.

Funniest or fondest memory before your engagement: Our first night in our house. We were renovating for a week before moving in, so we slept on an air matress with an assortment of throw blankets and pillows in the basement. It was freezing that night, but we were so happy and so exhausted. Everything was perfect with the world that night. A week and a half of renovations and little sleep later, everything was not perfect anymore and we were soo ready to just settle in and get on with life. Being new homeowners = Emotional rollercoaster...

His quirkiest habit: He has lots, but most of them I'd consider more annoying than quirky (nothing I can't deal with, though). He has a habit of putting things away in different places all the time (that is, if he puts things away at all) so he can never find anything. Pick a place and stick with it! But no...

Are you two birds of a feather or opposite atrract? We fall somewhere in between. We are different and balance each other out personality wise, but we have similar interests.

Do you clothes shop with him? Sometimes. He generally prefers that I come, but I don't always go. If I don't go, he does a little fashion show for me once we're both home to show me what he bought.

ha! This is me to a T!  I have a really bad habit of never putting anything away ( I ALWAYS lose my mac card) my clothes even generally rotate from the basket to the washer back to basket ( I live in scrubs, I should be exempt haha)   I do notice though that when things do get put away, thats when I can never find anything..cause I forget where I put them. I know, I'm a mess :)

    I loved reading everyone's responses!

Whats your Guilty pleasure: McDonald's Chicken McNugget Happy Meals & Lifetime Movies. Of course I know how awful McDonald's is, so I only have it a few times/yr when I'm sick or feeling really down. It always makes me feel better! And I wish I could spend one day a wk laying on the couch watching Lifetime Movies, I love it!

Funniest or fondest memory before your engagement, the engagement does not count lol:
FI and I had been dating off and on for a few months. I really liked him and I knew we had a really special connection but he 'didn't want a girlfriend'. One night I got really drunk (I mean, I had just turned 21..), acted like a complete fool, and basically cussed him out. The next day my friends told me they were sure things were over with us, but then he called me and was really sweet and wanted to make sure I was okay. The next day (a couple of days before Valentine's Day) he texted me 'Will you be my Valentine? Check one: Yes, No, Maybe' I was genuinely surprised and just over the top excited. After that we were inseparable. My friends and I always joke that he just needed to see a little crazy to make him realize he loved me. Besides when he asked me to marry him, I have never been more excited than when I got that text message.

His quirkiest habit: I wouldn't call it a habit, but I think it's hilarious that he's into reality tv more than I am. He'll watch Jersey Shore and the Kardashians on his own and we watch the Real Housewives of New Jersey together.

Are you two birds of a feather or opposite atrract? A lot like some of you other ladies, I think initially it was opposites attract, but over the past 5 years our interests, personalities, and goals in life have all really aligned. So of course I know a lot more about cars now and he knows a lot more about fashion and design lol.

Do you clothes shop with him? Yep! He's not super interested in fashion like I am and usually waits outside when I go into girly stores, but we shop together all of the time, it might be one of my favorite things about him lol

  • Whats your Guilty pleasure: Trying out baking recipes from pinterest. They can be pretty hit or miss -- but some of them are FABULOUS.
Funniest or fondest memory before your engagement, the engagement does not count lol: Obviously, there are many. But one of my favorite "funny" memories was on our first date where I was leaving his house and he was coming to walk me to my car... Well, I didn't know that he had one of those door knob locks so once you close the door it's LOCKED... so I closed the door.... and I locked him out of his house! XD He ended up having to call his mom who had a spare key to get back inside (let's keep in mind it was probably about 10pm). And yet he stilled called me the next day...
His quirkiest habit: Are you two birds of a feather or opposite atrract? A happy blend of both, but I'd say we're more two birds of a feather.
Do you clothes shop with him? My FH has lately been asking my opinion on everything he buys, something he never used to do. So I'm curious if its your guys too or just my guy: He won't go shopping for himself unless I go too! haha.

  • My guilty pleasure: Trashy "reality" TV shows... some of my faves have been Bridalplasty, More to Love, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, and Jersey Shore.

    Funniest or fondest pre-engagement memory:
Definitely the day we met! My roomie was dating his co-worker at the time, and we got invited to my FI's house for a Memorial Day BBQ. He was wearing a pair of Coors Light boardshorts and was shirtless... he is a bodybuilder, so he looked HUGE! At the end of the night he walked me to my car and asked for my number. I was SO excited on my drive home, counting the days until I could expect to hear from him (per the "three day rule"... LOL). When I got home 30 minutes later, I already had a text from him! He said, "hey, I know you just left, but I can't help myself... would you like to go to Taco Tuesday with me tomorrow?" After our first date the next day, we were inseparable. I can't even describe how excited I was when we first met... that's how I knew he was going to be something special!

    His quirkiest habit:
As I mentioned previously, he is a competitive bodybuilder, so he has a lot of habits that one would likely consider "quirky" - but his most recent quirky habit is eating tons and tons of baby food. He is in off-season right now and trying to bulk up, so lots of carbs are on the menu. He has found that eating baby food sweet potatoes and rice is the easiest and quickest way to get down all of the carbs he needs. People at the grocery store always remark, "wow, your baby must like sweet potatoes"... then they look at me crazy when I say it's for my FI. Haha.

Birds of a feather or opposites attract:
We are different in a lot of ways, but I think our core values are the same and that's why we work. He is a big ass white dude from Michigan, and I am Japanese and from Hawaii. He is a Republican and fairly conservative, whereas I come from a family of staunch Democrats and I am extremely liberal. He loves to be spontaneous and doesn't make plans until the last minute, and I HATE last minute planning. LOL. But we both value the same things, like putting family first. We both come from non-traditional families with lots of siblings and parents and drama, so we "get" each other and our families. We have a lot of separate interests; for example, I like UFC/MMA and reading books, and he likes motocross/supercross and doing things outside... but we have both delved into each other's interests a little bit, and we now have a HUGE common interest in the bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle. I think we complement each other perfectly in many ways.

    Clothes shopping:
We both like clothes shopping... as a matter of fact, I think he does it more often than I do! He will go by himself, or with me; he doesn't care. I prefer to go shopping for mysel, by myself because I usually take a long time trying things on, and he gets bored.

Guilty pleasure: Definitely baking.  And, watching "The Biggest Loser".  But not at the same time.

Funniest or fondest memory before your engagement, the engagement does not count lol: I'm going to go with the story around our first kiss too :D  FI came to visit on a random day of the week.  I think it was a Wednesday.  We had just met in person the Sat before and he was TOTALLY smitten!  I was too!  He took me out for dinner then we sat on the Library Lawn (on my college campus) and watched youtube videos until the sun went down, then we found a good spot for stargazing.  We saw a satelite, which FI thought was awesome.  Then we played the hand slap game and thumb war (which FI later said was an excuse to hold my hand!)  Then, while we were laying next to eachother, he sat up, looked at me and kissed me!

His quirkiest habit: It's not really a habit, but when FI is falling asleep, he'll start twitching.  I think it's so funny and sometimes he'll twich so big he'll wake himself up.

Are you two birds of a feather or opposite atrract? A little both.  In some ways, we balance each other out.  For example, our house keeping habits.  I tend to let things get a little messy before I go into a full-out clean mode.  Fi, however, likes to keep things clean and clean as he goes.  Also, he likes to go out downtown on the weekends sometimes, whereas I can't stand crowds of strangers and would much rather stay home.  In a lot of other ways, we're very much the same.

Do you clothes shop with him?:  I have been lately.  I think he likes having me along and will definitely ask my opinion on some things.  I never shop for him, though.  He doesn't like it when I do that because he is very particular about how things fit and look.  The only clothes I've ever bought for him were a T-shirt for our first christmas together and a Packers jersey last christmas.  He likes to go shopping with me and help me pick out things to wear, but I just get annoyed because he says "yeah, that looks great!" to something clingy and low clevage that I would never feel comfortable wearing in public.  I'd much rather shop with my sister!

  • Whats your Guilty pleasure: I watch "Teen Mom" and ALL the "Real Housewives"s

Funniest or fondest memory before your engagement, the engagement does not count lol: talking and debating when we first started dating.  We would sit in his room chatting and listening to music until 3AM, and I had a class that started the next day, every day at 9.

His quirkiest habit: He has so many...

Are you two birds of a feather or opposite atrract?: Kind of both.  We both like nerdy things, but in opposite directions.  We take turns boring each other talking about hour hobbies :)

Do you clothes shop with him?: YES!!! His taste is way better than mine.  Somehow my personal taste is to dress completely trampy, I really don't know why.  He helps me keep my outfits classy.
