Bagpipers

Does anyone have any recommendations for a bagpiper?  We'd like to have one play after the ceremony, while we are leaving church.  Also, does anyone have an idea of what a good price would be?  We probably only need one or two, at most.  Thanks!

  • We got a rec. from mbcdefg for the one she used, Mike, but he had a prior commitement the day of our wedding -  pipermike@yahoo.com.  He sent us to John Escobar. He was $200 and played  a half hour before the ceremony and then again while we were leaving.  Most seemed to be about $200-300, depending on what you wanted.  You really don't need two though, one is just fine.  If you want the number for John, I'll pm it to you.

We used Mike last night. He was great! He charged us $250 for about a half hour but that was more than reasonable being St. Patty's Day and all.

  • You can call many local police departments.  They usually know somebody.

You can also call Piper's Cove in Kearney.  They'll hook you up.  I think we paid $175 to be piped out of church.
  • We used The Royal Piper...he played for the Queen.  He was AWESOME!  I think he was around $200 per hour.
