St. Jude Cathedral in St. Pete (the chapel) HELP!

Help!!

The darn St. Pete Grand Prix is on our wedding day, major UGHHHHHH!!

So this means we have to change our church and we are catholic so even though there are many locations there are also some obstacles bc our wedding is during lent...etc.

Anyway, does anyone have any experiences with weddings at St. Jude the Cathedral, but actually the chapel??  The cathedral will be under construction during our wedding and we would use the chapel.

I am devastated that we cannot get married at St. Mary's.  I am furious that i have planned our wedding since May 2010 and for most of the plans to be derailed because of this race.  But I know that this race brings a lot of money in for the area, jobs etc. so I can be flexible...I just need help. :(

Any help would be appreciated!!

    No experience with St. Jude, but I got married at St. Paul's if you have any questions about that one!

    I called St. Paul's and someone has already reserved two different dates because of the Grand Prix...I tried to call them back yesterday once I found out and they haven't returned my phone call yet,,,

    I will keep trying...now that I think of it, the other bride wanted the weekend that wasn't the grand prix...so I guess I could have our date! lol.

    no problem!  i don't really check my PM's, but you can probably find me on the nest!  The church was beautiful.  I used their organist who was great and the ceremony coordinator Janine did all my centerpieces and bouquets too, which I loved!.  She owns Mildred Maloney florist and was VERY reasonable.
