Running out of $

I am starting to get anxious that we are quite literally, running out of money.
We had a budget and we've been paying people all along, but it just feels like so much money is due within the next 6 weeks that its overwhleming. My parents are helping and don't seem to have an issue-- but I am afraid to start to use some of the money we have set aside in our "savings" account because I consider that our emergency fund.

Does anyone else have this feeling!?I am sure it will all work out, but every purchase I make now I am being SUPER careful because I am paranoid we are going to come up short.

Luckily, my parents have been very generous in helping us pay for a large part of the wedding. However, we are still covering some wedding expenses, paying for the honeymoon, and buying our house. We looked at the finances and how much we will owe for various things like closing costs, household items, wedding stuff, etc. We had to set up a pretty careful budget to avoid dipping into our emergency fund. I definitely understand where you are coming from.

I'm with you-- we've been saving for our wedding for nearly 2 years, and now that we're in the last 30 days before the actual ceremony and reception, we have to pay everyone and it's kind of hard to let go of all the money we've worked so hard for all this time!
If you're on track and not overspending what you expected, you're fine. Keep in mind that when the wedding is over, you'll be able to save money once again and can add to your emergency fund. Also if you still need to pay for things that aren't essential, consider skipping them.. chances are no one will even notice. GL

I actually just had a nightmare about this. I've been dreading the final payments to all the vendors... My father is helping, but he gave us a set amount that basically covers the venue/food/beverages... so everything else has been on us... Since we moved in December and I left my teaching position I have only been nannying part time... and FI is covering all the household bills... I've had the last 2 weeks off, and still next week before I nanny part time for the 5 weeks prior to the wedding... needless to say I'm freaking out... and would love to send a check out right now to any of the vendors... and even though I have the $ to do it in my account I get nervous an emergency would come up... I've heard the last month or so are pretty rough, you're not alone!

I feel like this....and what did i do...just rushed a paid off 3 vendors lol... I have to left and maybe i will feel better.....ughhhh I feel like we wont have enough....ughhhh

I haven't read any of the follow-up comments yet, but YES, I absolutely feel this way. I'm just hemorrhaging money lately (or so it feeels), and I really don't like it!

I'm so nervous at this point, because I'm like $1500 over budget (from the $ my dad gave me), and I've already been paying for all the small stuff myself. I'm just not sure where I'm going to come up with that money, but it seems kinda late to fix it!

I have had several things pop up that needed to be paid ASAP and I feel like I am drowning. I am so affraid that everything will not get paid on time! I don't even have a total for the food because it all depends on the count and the first half has to be paid on August 1st BUT ofcourse no one is responding and that makes my anxity worse ughhh!

We drained our safety fund over one of the dogs, which was not expected at all, and now we are hoping to work a lot between now and the wedding to have a little cushion. It's a scary thought since everything is due real soon. We have the money to pay it all and it will all be paid but just knowing there won't be much left over is a scary thought! We're so close!
