Originally I wanted to do a fall (sept/oct) wedding but the best reception site I found  that we can afford and have accommodations only has November left.  SO, my original plan of an outdoor ceremony is definitely axed.  I would really like to find a small ceremony venue that overlooks a river or a lake in the st cloud area.  Any suggestions??  I am recently engaged and need to get something booked asap before there is nothing left.  Thanks!

    What year are you planning on getting married?
    What have you looked at thus far?
    Where is your "favorite" reception hall?

    Fall of 2012, I have not looked at any indoor ceremony locations yet, and I'm really interested in both the Kelly Inn and Holiday Inn...Kelly Inn is best deal but only Nov 17th left so hoping I can get a deal this weekend at the wedding expo for holiday inn.  Both are nice and I'm willing to go into Nov if I can find a great indoor location for the ceremony.

    Okay - are you looking for a church or just a building?
    I can tell you that the Holiday Inn and the Kelly Inn don't give "deals" at the Wedding Expo. I am getting married and having my reception at the Kelly Inn and one of my best firend's just got married and had her recpetion at the Holiday Inn - I can tell you that both of these places book extremely quickly and if you wait until after the wedding expo there is a good chance that thehy will be booked.

    I knew the Kelly Inn didn't offer any deals but the lady at the Holiday Inn said they did....poop that kinda bums me out that they don't!!  Curious, did your friend spend enough money that essentially the ballroom fee got waved at the Holiday Inn..if so how many guests did they have??  That's the big kicker for me on the Kelly Inn, the fee can get waved and that's a huge money saver for me!!  Back to the ceremonies...probably not a church but I would consider it.

    She had 110 guests there and no she had didn't have the fee waived... she even had a buffet dinner and served 2 carving stations, and a couple other "big" food items.
    The waiver of the room fee was a huge plus for me and that's the reason why we chose the Kelly Inn - I know I have not had any problems with them thus far, and actually love them!
    How many people are you looking at for the ceremony/reception?

    I'm guessing that you are looking at Munsinger Gardens for your ceremony... that is one of the only outdoor ceremony locations in St. Cloud that I know of. We were told to look into Riverside park which is just across the road [south by the dam]. Check with the parks department.

    I have looked into munsinger but I'm no longer looking for an outdoor ceremony because it will be in Nov.  I'm looking for an indoor venue that overlooks a lake or river.   Know of any??
